We had some UCLA fans/season ticket holders sitting next us in Pasadena, they were in awe of the intensity of our fans. said they never get anywhere near that.

So as far as gameday atmosphere Auburn and Bama by far trump, but man that scenery and everything else would be tempting for a guy from alabama

Yeah but you would at least like to feel you have a feature #1 WR on roster. DQ and Coates are expected gone after 2014. While there is talent in the rest on roster I am not sure there is a #1 in there for 2015.
Yeah, this makes sense

Exactly.. I won't hate on the kid, because I wouldn't blame him, but I'd damn sure be disappointed.

I wouldn't blame him at all if he went to UCLA.

I would be willing to bet that's about how Jim Mora's visit went with Rashaan.

I imagine it's fun to play at the Rose Bowl every weekend.. despite my bad memories there

i don't think it's a great atmosphere for most games... it's not on campus... it's rarely filled... and the crowds are dead.

i'm sure it's awesome for the USC/UCLA game and Rose Bowl Game, but other than that it always looks dead.

eta: there are a lot of great reasons to pic UCLA -- location, academics, weather, etc -- i just don't think this is one of them... or at least not a huge selling point.

I get the atmosphere isn't great but it's the Rose Bowl. It's filled with history and a magical place

granted, i've never been... and i agree the history of that venue is 2nd to none.

but for a high school kid, it probably means ver little.

I still feel good about our chances... and I'd honestely much rather see him out west than in west alabama.

Rose bowl was cool when it is filled but it doesn't trap noise well, isn't much different than other bowls in look and is a pain in the arse to get inside and to the bathrooms. If it was built 10 years ago instead of 100, it would be a terrible stadium. I feel like him being a HS kid will see those facts not the history.

It is nice to always have it 70 and sunny for game day though

Sounds like he's still waiting for a committable offer from AU to me.
