I started that thread over a year ago. It was my longest thread ever. Haven't been over there since they switched to Au family though.

Not sure. I have not heard from my friend in the AD since all this shite happened. That said, I am not going to overreact one way or the other. I still feel good about Lawson and Bower sticking plus Ford and Barber picking the good guys. As for everyone else there will be some interesting interviews tomorrow. One person conspicuous by his absence on the board tonight is Gene's Chin. He lives with some players and knows a number of others. His take on all this would be interesting.

I dont believe the Dismues BS. Foster was gone a while ago.
Dont you think the entire story is a little convenient?

I looked at the picture I have of Samford Hall.
I did not see Dismukes or Foster.

Nope. He had been all Auburn for 3 weeks. You don't visit a school's complex 12 to 15 times in the past 3 weeks if you ar not serious about going there. If Foster has indeed changed his mind to go somewhere else then as ST said he has lied to many people including most of his family. There is a difference from this as opposed to the conspiracies you speak of. The families were a central part of the flips to Bama. Reuben's family wants him at Auburn. Reuben is very emotional. It is likely something really happened to piss him off. I just hope he calms down and realizes Auburn is where he should be in the next 4 days.

So this is what I "heard" Dismukes and some others where @ the complex talking about cooking playing ps3 later and Foster and some other recruits were standing around and invited to join. Foster says something to tune of I can't I'm about to leave for T-town. Dismukes says something to the tune of how many times are you gonna "renege" on your commitment. Someone close by tweeted the "renege" as something else and then all the N word stuff started swirling. Either way Foster to Bama is a done deal. Adams to Bama or Georgia is 50/50. I still feel good about Lawson. Bama is going to need 2 or 4 players to greyshirt or transfer due to signing Foster and Adams but give them credit they know how to work the system.

I am not buying that. There is no way a football player is that thin-skinned. Hell, anyone. Makes no sense that someone would let something 1 person (practically a stranger or at best an acquaintance) says in a drunken moment decide what is easily the biggest decision in Foster's life to this point. No way and makes no sense.

That does not give me any warm fuzzies. I are sad.

This is my last year ever to follow recruiting.
That is all.
That is all.

See, this makes sense and is sorta what I thought last night. Foster tells Reese (or any current AU player really) he is about to leave to be with the bama players on his OV and the biggest recruiting weekend we have.
Any AU player would get pissed and say WTF? If I was an AU player I might lose my shite and beat his arse before sending him on his merry way. The AU players knew he was fricking with them and it was a slap in the face.
Again, no way this was just out of the blue and Foster got his little feelings hurt and bolted. No damn way.

Hell, what can you do? I'm just gonna file this feeling away to remember again when we beat Bama next. Believe it or not, it will happen again, and it will make it that much better.

Here is what has happened IMO:
Saban has these kids balls in a vice. He has flipped the script on a lot of them. He gives his sales pitch and then tells them bama is going to win championships with or without them. And he now has the hardware to back it up.
Then, he has shown that he will run kids off (about 10 every year) because he has too to get to 85. He has shown he will force greyshirts and medicals on players whether they want them or not. He has shown he will cut kids off on NSD that think they have a scholly and make them cry (see Philon last year).
The players know this. I really thought the oversigning, cutting of players, lies, and stuff he did to Philon last year (letting him announce on NSD day for bama then saying nope, find somewhere else, when bama got higher rated targets) would come back and bite him in the arse. It hasn't. It has given him unprecedented leverage that no other coach in the country has.
Liner wanted to go to UGA for an OV this weekend. Saban said no, Liner said yes sir. He did because saban has so much leverage now. Make no mistake, saban was pulling the strings with Foster this go round as well, at least since Foster's last visit to bama. In fact the whole "Foster got pissed and left his bama visit early" stuff a few weeks ago was probably fabricated as well.
I am not into conspiracy theory crap. But this seems to be the most likely explanation to me. I do not buy the "got his feelings hurt" and bolted straight to bama.

so Dismukes was in Spanish Fort and asked Foster to play PS3 with him?

Maybe I am wrong. As everyone should know, that is just an opinion from me based on observing all the rumors since last night.
I don't have any sources, do not talk to anyone who has sources close to any of these kids or anything else. I'm a long way away in South Florida.
So hopefully I am wrong. It is just my opinion from watching how things have developed the last few years.

As always, the truth is in the middle. RD probably called him out, and RF got mad. I'm starting to think the N word was not used.

Its an interesting theory. I dont agree but...
You are right though...ppl with power and influence do make rules but I dont think Saban has it or spec targets Auburn.
I dont think Saban pay Auburn any real attention...we are prob not a threat to him.
I am sure someone orchestrated Yeldons flip but i doubt it was the HC at Bama.

Alright, let's talk about another very important recruit, does Lawson stick? I hope so, because that kid is going to be something special somewhere. He has the attitude to excel, is not self absorbed, has a great support system(family)and I hope it is @ Au.

I don't think it was saban specifically, but I think the bama coaches orchestrated it so that it happened right before the dead period and I also think something like that is run by saban at a minimum for "approval".

I think he pays attention. I think he wants to make sure AU does not BECOME a threat going forward as AU does have the ability to do so.
