Woah
If people are willing to summarize, I'm going to take advantage.

Yeah I was jus kidding. I do the same thing but I am sure there are people around here that feel that way.

Why would we take a grade risk when we already have Earnest Robinson as a possible sign & place

Rich Bisacc and Malzahn

Ok this is deja vu again. What the hell does sign and place mean?

Sign a player on NSD and place him in prep school for a semester or 2 or in juco for 1 or 2 years.

You sign them knowing they won't qualify in hopes they will resign after JUCO. More or less a way of showing allegiance to the recruit.

We sign him. He doesn't make the grades, so we place him somewhere so he can come to Auburn sometime in the next two years.

Why would we sign and place a kid now? If a kid doesnot qualifty due to grade, that scholarship cannot be filled by an EE the next class; basically you are losing that scholarship. So why do it? I guess we can because we are up against the 85 cap and not the 25 cap.

Didnt know this. I wonder if the coaches even understand the new oversigning restrictions
Regarding Robinson being a grade risk, I believe he has always been borderline and that was part of the reason Alabama backed off early in his recruitment. I thought his grade situation had improved this year but a few weeks ago it was mentioned in this thread that he was a possible sign & place. I have no clue what his current status is

If they get their sh*t together at prep school (like Jaquay Williams), then they can re-sign in Jan and not hurt you signing class.

The Alexander recruitment reminds me of the Arik Armstead drama from last year. If his brother would have been able to enroll at Auburn, Arik would be here. Seems like they will end up at whatever school is able to sign both and they dont really care where that is
