I haven't watched any film on Stevens yet. Is he the flashy speedster time receiver or more of a sure handed route runner like emory blake?

I think you'll see us recruiting more of the bigger WRs....

Our running game hasn't broken a lot of long runs the past 2 seasons because our smaller WRs haven't blocked well along the edges.

Bigger WRs are a PRIORITY.

but someone just metioned to me that we had 4 Linebacker commits and now we only have one currently

At one time we have Jerrod Davis, Trey Johnson, Foster and Cameron Toney.

- Trey Johnson was pretty much gone with Ted Roof. They had a connection with the coach or something and Trey really liked Roof. When Foster flipped to us, that made him even more gone and when the coaches were fired that gave him an easy out.

- Davis was threatening to leave as soon as the coaches were fired and flipped over to Florida.

- Foster is Foster and Toney is Toney.

While not as big as him, he's a pretty good replacement for Jaquay Williams.

I have to think he'll stick to his commitment. He was originally committed to FSU, then changed to A&M, and Craig was able to use his FSU relationship to get him to Auburn.

yes, Reuben... im connecting the dots... they are going hard after inside linebackers...I know we need them, but everyone outside of us seems to think its UGA and BAMA..believe me i want reuben ive got a ban bet on him to come to AU..I know ive lost already

We were going after JUCO LBs a long time ago if that is what you're getting at. And who thinks it's between UGA and Bama? Most national guys are saying AU and BM is still saying he thinks he comes back to AU.

Does anyone have more on Dominic Walker? Nebraska Commit, 6-2 WR, just came off an AU visit. Also, he's from Orlando where we just got Stevens. Looks like Craig is going to work! BM tweeted that he could potentially flip. Any more to the story than that?

He said there is a 75% chance he will play with Tony Stevens(the guy who just committed to us) in College.

Arky fan on the recruiting board just claimed they pulled Harding's scholly after he visited us this weekend. They're getting the spin going before he decommits I guess.

When was our last recruit from Oklahoma?

I like the AU brand spreading into the midwest.

Him and Tony Stevens looking to play together? I also assume ER is okay with us looking at so many WRs right?

Also, De'Runnya Wilson news at all?

We already picked up TJ Davis from Lincoln High School

We are in the mix for Taj Williams and James Hearn form Lincoln High School

Is it possible we are setting up a pipeline there?

also notes from Carl Lawson's Visit to UTk

quote:

Lawson report.... Reply from Volquest about his UT official visit. Alpharetta, Georgia defensive end Carl Lawson is one of the hotter names on the recruiting trail. The peach state product has been and is still committed to Auburn, but that hasn't prevented visits.

After going to Clemson last weekend, he was in Knoxville to see the Vols this weekend. "It was a great visit," Lawson said. "I learned how great their fans are and how big the city is. They have so much tradition there and a great history. You can just see it everywhere you look. It's a valuable program." Like most weekends, prospects were tweeting and instagramming their pictures out from the Tennessee locker room. Lawson and several others were sporting their jerseys that Tennessee uses in it's presentation to what could be each prospects football future.

It's actually the past that stood out to Lawson. "I love all of their former players," Lawson said. "Sure I know who Reggie White is, but they have such a great history here. You can see it."

Lawson spent time with Tennessee head coach Butch Jones and the top Vol made it clear that Lawson is very important to his inaugural recruiting class. "I get a good feeling with coach Jones," Lawson said. "He's a really good guy and he's won everywhere he's been. He's a cool guy and I feel like he relates well to the players."

Also on the visit was his friend and former teammate Ryan Jenkins. Already committed to Tennessee, Jenkins has let it be known that he wants Lawson in orange and white, but doesn't pressure him. "He's always cool when we hang out," Lawson said. "It does help that he's committed to there, but I have to make the decision that is best for me. He's always just my friend and he doesn't pressure me."

Lawson was hosted by Tennessee offensive tackle Antonio "Tiny" Richardson. He spent time with a lot of the players and coaches, but Richardson made an impression. "He told me how everything is there," Lawson said. "He's a cool dude and a person I like because he is focused on his craft."
