Marshall isn't going to play safety. Lashlee thinks he's a perfect fit in Gus' system.

He's pretty fast with a 4.4 and is 6'2 205. Why not put him at safety?
Well that's where he needs to play.

I'm skeptical of his quarterbacking abilities right now. I'd love him at safety. It's a definite position of need.

Well they say he will get a shot at QB or can play DB or WR.

Not sure why you guys don't like Marshall
Watched like the first three minutes of his highlight film and I think he threw one maybe two passes. On top of that he's thrown more picks than TDs. I don't mind taking him for depth purposes but I would be really concerned if he started.

The throws and runs he's making at this level exceeds what we have right now. When you look at the numbers that he's putting up, with the experience he has under his belt, I have a feeling he would be our starter. I haven't seen anyone that can compare. It was a similar situation with Newton, everyone was saying when we recruited him, “this is Junior College football not the SEC”. Back then my point was it's not high school either. Passing yards, rushing and touchdowns combined with the video tells me that this is a quarterback that should be taken seriously.
Of course this is just my opinion, we will find out soon enough.

He does hold the Georgia state record for touchdowns thrown. I liked him out of high school, and I'm excited to see what he can do with Gus's offense and good running backs, a line, and some receivers like Trovon Ricky Ricardo Melvin Sammy and Quan.
I was seriously worried about the shite that was the quarterbacking sitch last year. I'm real cool with this move.

I agree that he's making some very risky throws. But many of them have been dead on accurate. Could possibly have more to do with coaching and just exercising too much poor judgment.
I know I've seen enough bad throws in the last 2 years. I sure as hell don't want to see anymore of them.

JUCO stats:
Newton 2,833 pass yds 22TDs 655 rush yds. 5 INT
Marshall 3,142 pass yds. 18 TDs 20 INTs 1095 rush
I guess if we could get him to cut down the picks I would be good with him starting. This comparison actually swayed me. I thought it was going to make my point. That's impressive.

You guys are taking the stats out of context of the games he played. His team had an absolutely horrific defense. Their defense gave up almost 90 points to another community college. He had to throw in a lot of bad situations.

Keihl laughs at those interception numbers.
Seriously, I hope those 2 don't get together and exchange notes. We will be a turnover machine.

Aplin was 11th in passing efficiency with 5 ints on 412 atts. 68% completion. 3400 yards. 154 rating. Think Gus will protect the ball in the passing game, and then let Nick run some. It's worked before.

I really believe he wants Auburn, but there is some kind of problem with Garner. I hope they get it worked out. Either way, I think Carl is handling this the right way.
Where do people get this crap? UGA fans along with other fan bases start rumors about Lawson not liking CRG because CRG didn't recruit him at UGA, and everybody just runs with it.
Hokanson did an in-depth story about CRG visiting Lawson's parents and clearing the air about those rumors, and Lawson's dad has said that there wasn't any beef between the two and he understood CRG's position at UGA since UGA runs a 3-4 and UGA didn't think he fit their system as an OLB. Unless you think Lawson's parents are straight up lying, then there is no substance to this alleged "beef" between Lawson and CRG, and I'm tired of our fan base talking about it. What CRG did at UGA has no bearing on what he's not doing for us.
Lawson is committed to us, and he has set up an official visit with us for the last weekend before Signing Day. Considering a complete overhaul of the coaching staff, I think we're in as good of shape as we could hope to be with our top recruit.
If Signing Day gets here and Lawson sign somewhere else, then I guess all you can scream about what a terrible job CRG did until you're blue in the face, but until then, shut up.

20 INTS is just not a good sign, regardless of situations.
