Is this thread gonna get back to recruiting?

Make a different thread to talk about our lethargic play on Sat. Let's get back to talking recruiting!

Derrick Green = AU lock!

Montravius Adams = Lord, let's hope he's a lock...

for those ready to jump off the ledge.... Personally, I feel better today than I did after the opening game last season... we've got a better OL (and will be even better with Dismukes), and although we gave 500 yards, we looked better defensively as well.

Obviously, both teams could've played better last night... and no doubt in my mind Clemson is a better football team than us, even though we were a couple of plays away from potentially winning the game.

Next week will go a long way in determining how this season turns out... I hope this team builds off of the Clemson game and corrects the errors... another loss could cause a loss of confidence that could cripple a young team.

but regardless, war eagle.

Lets hope this is not true. We need to keep a few players around..

WTF is going on. McNeal played pretty well last year...

That quote could mean a lot of things. I wouldn't read into it. Very much could mean he is making personal changes in his life, to get back to where he needs to to play. Doesn't necessarily mean he is leaving the team.

Is there anything going on over at the AUC 247 site that's interesting and worth discussing?

He could be talking about moving to another apartment or something. Perhaps he was moving to a different table at the strip club. Who knows.

“It was definitely a trip worth taking,” Green said. “I got a chance to see what type of offense Auburn is going to run and how they’re going to use their running backs and I definitely liked it. It was a plus.
“There was definitely a loud fanbase out there. They showed me a lot of love. I definitely liked that a lot. I had a great time.”

I'll just leave this here

Data good I like I like. Really want this kid for real tho. What do y'all guys think about this weekend against state? do you think we see a much improved D and O? They main thing I was pissed ab sat was tackling and not pressing the receivers. Is it going to be like this all over again from the past three years?

not pressing the receivers.

To be fair, we didn't have anyone that could run with Hopkins so I'm sure that was a big factor.

Well the only explanation I could come up with was that we aren't good enough to press. I find it hard to believe though.

Wish they could disguise coverages more though. Show blitzes and pop back in to cover three, cover 2 sink, or 2 man press.

Meh. Davis played pretty well. He made one big mistake and that was that he didn't fullout tackle Hopkins in the end zone on that fade pass by Boyd. Chris knew he wasn't in position and tried to get away with limited contact.

But that's how it goes. We had plenty of opportunities to win the game on offense. If Frazier gets comfortable and gets the ball down then we've got a dangerous offense. Until then it will be a frustrating season.

Also, Clemson's no huddle didn't allow us to sub as many d lineman as originally planned. That's why towards the end our production from that group dwindled. We're not going to face as many offenses like Clemson. That bodes well for us

Thank you for the insight. I had forgotten about the rotation issues due to the offense style. I agree about opportunity vs execution.

Yea thats true. I guess thats why they needed a basic cover three D. No time to really call disguises or Different coverages that Van Gorder would like...makes sense. I'm pumped it's a short work week to get to sat.
