I was hoping to see another WR with some size out there with Blake(Coates/Denson).
Same here, I thought for sure with a new OC coming in we would of had a change at WR,

Can we afford to RS McKinzy? I'm thinking no. Our LB depth is depressing. But we did go through 2010 with like 4-5 LBs.
I'm thinking the same thing. At least let him get some experience this year.

Maybe it is just me but I have yet to see anything out of Jeffrey Whitaker.

He has been more of a DT that takes on double teams to open up lanes for LB's and that's not what BVG wants out of his DL but apparently he was really surprised people as someone who can get penetration (nohomo)

step back from the cliff.... Jonathon Evans is the real #2 MLB, if I had to guess, with Frost or Garrett sliding in to fill his spot on the outside.
This isn't video game... you'd probably get more use out of this depth chart if rolled it up and used it as toilet paper.

Re: Bates
Travis Williams was 200 lbs soaking wet and played like a man in the SEC.
Not saying Bates is or will be as good as T-Will, just saying it can be done.
But to do it, you have to know your defense, your play book, your technique, your adjustments without having to think about them.
We shall see.

What keeps Mullen 316 from being banned? The dude does nothing but flame/kill AU threads on the SECr.

I thought this happend when he was speaking at a bama event...except that he revealed that he took a polygraph that conclusively proved that he did say last fall that he knew who the bagman was.

What does everyone think about Omacc being named the starter? Is it because he is a SR or do you all believe he could get 15+ carries against Clemson?
I just can't see him running dives and counters behind Juggernaut

He was named the starter last year as well. Probably in 2010 as well (can't remember off the top of my head).

We are going to run Mason a lot. OMac is the starter, but that doesn't mean he will be the every down back. Lots of receiving opportunities for him too.

He'll only be a starter in that he'll probably go out for the first play of the game.
Omac is going to be used more on the outside and catching passes out of the backfield. Mason and Blakely will get the ball between the tackles/behind Prosch. Omac might take some up the middle, but not many, imo.

He said he was going to prove he was telling the truth...which he did by passing a polygraph test by a former FBI agent.

I like it. Kid has earned the honor of being the starter. I really hope we use him even more in the passing game. With the amount of blitzes our young OL and QB are going to be seeing would be good to hit em with plenty of screens and swing passes out to OMac.
But like other posters have said Mason and Blakely will be the in between the tackles guys. I am really excited about Mason. I love how he run downhill. Reminds me of Kenny Irons
