I appreciate that brother, and I will let you know for sure when I can make it out. Was good to meet some great Auburn people like you and your family. You all have been able to see one hell of a finish to this season...

Anyone else think that Gus has been playing the long game all year and we are going to pass for 500+ yards in the BCSNCG?

Everyone is talking about our running game. Florida State is going to have to spend the next few weeks exclusively on it just to come close to stopping it. I can't imagine that we do enough to keep the ball rolling with that and then we implement a deadly passing game.

Gus has had tremendous success passing the ball before and nobody has tape on this team throwing.

Would be fun to see. All I want is a game where I'm not pulling my hair out the entire time. Thats all I ask. The past month I've probably aged 20 years. Unfortunately, this game will be just like the last few.

That would be funny, but I have really picked up on something about Gus with all the interviews and he is a creature of habit. Likes to keep the processes the same throughout. I think he will run it until a team can stop it.

We have opened up the deep passing game consistently and never take advantage. I just wonder if Gus will start taking advantage like he should

I agree and have been waiting for the change of pace, but how can I claim Gus is not doing it right when you post 545 rushing yards against the #5 team in the country.

I am not saying we are doing it wrong just that there is an opportunity. An opportunity made considerably better knowing that no one has any film on us passing and our passing tendencies.

If we can consistently catch the ball (so take out Ricardo and Trovon) we will go in dry on FSU's anus

AU is 13-4 all time against FSU. Thought this should be mentioned.

Think GuS Is WaitinG To Get Marshall In The Spring Before Passing A Bunch Next Season.

I truly believe that we won't get rattled if get hit early. If we hit FSU early though, they are fricked

I can report that @AlabamaFTBL coach Nick Saban has agreed to work for ESPN for the BCS title game (Jan. 6) in Pasadena.
Oh joy...

Eh Malzahn worked in studio for Alabama's game in 2011. Saban did 2010 coverage and he represented the SEC well. I don't mind him giving his opinion b/c he's an intelligent coach and respects the hell out of Auburn.

Saban doesn't say stupid shite, he doesn't suck a teams dick unless they earned that blowjob and he has excellent analysis. If I was watching the game not at the stadium I would be happy to have him

He is going to Texas so I don't care about the recruiting boom he'll get

I quit trying to understand what these guys are doing several games back. They are a hell of a lot smarter than I am, but shite! I wish I understood what they are up to when it comes to JJ. I thought for sure they would've let him run a series of downs during the Arkansas game when it was under control..... Tennessee..... why not?

I keep telling myself it's some kind of secret plot that Gus will unleash at the appropriate time, but the time never comes. I would love to understand how JJ fits into the scheme, if he does at all.

I get the idea that if it's not broken leave it alone, running is safer than passing, time management, ball control and all of that, but damn I would love to see a passing game. And I bet our wide receivers would appreciate the hell out of it.

edit: From Montgomery Advertiser / James Crepea

"While the 6-foot-5 219-pound Johnson can certainly run, he’s more of a prototypical passer than the more mobile Marshall. Once the offense was tweaked to focus on the zone read more, it became difficult to change in the middle of a game, or even the middle of a drive, to more traditional passing attack for Johnson."

Ok, now I get it..I think.

One thing on our side. We have a pretty solid group (Sanders,Equae,Davis, etc) who have been on this stage before in 2010. FSU hasn't played a team like AU and hasn't been in these waters before.

Also, I'm sure Davis hopes for a better start for him. Remember he went down on the opening kick off of the 2010 BCSNCG. That field was horrible.

It really is hard as hell for me to form an opinion on FSU. My God when you look at their schedule it's similar to Ohio St.'s. I would love to hear everyone's opinion on the FSU/Florida game if you have one. If you didn't see the game try and watch at least the first quarter LINK

You're absolutely right! What's amazing to me is that the same can be said about the SEC. No one has an answer. Giving our staff and team a month to prepare could be a nightmare for Jimbo Fisher and Company. I really think Gus is going to bring another NC to Auburn.
