Purifoy has been very active on twitter in relation to things like #freeDanjel and him being cleared
ETA: could be they got word but not an official decision. As in someone said something positive but nothing reportable as definitive

Yea. That's fake Gabe. His source is pretty solid on this.
Also, it could be December before he is cleared.

Smuphy is right on this. A recent AU bball player told AUOvertime about this. He gets good info.

No inside information, but hearing that he will be eligible ONCE grades are finalized for the first Semester. So sometime in December.

Couldn't come at a better time with Xavier then Diamonhead Classic coming up right after that.

Would be big to have him for SEC play. A line up of Canty/Dunans/Purifoy/Harris/Spencer makes me very happy

I really really wish Harris had 1 more year of eligibility. Considering Providence played him more as a stretch 4 form what I read, his post game is 10x better than I expected
ETA: If we can get a serviceable big guy to add, our 2016 team will get 4 of those guys back and Heron/Harper/McKelmore

Some thoughts on players after 2 games. I'm no basketball expert so love to see if others agree
Kareem Canty- He is our "Marshall Henderson". When he plays well, he is fire and we dominate. When Canty starts forcing things and doing bad, our team struggles hard.
Tahj "TSD" Shamsid-Deen - Great defender but his offensive game is just solid. Problem is his game was "solid" as a FR and whether shoulders or otherwise hasn't developed
TJ Dunans: If he could develop a jumper/3pt shot, he would be near impossible to defend with his driving ability.
New Williams - Most thought he'd be last guy in line, he looked good in exh + UAB. Hopefully he can stay healthy long enough to contribute and develop
TJ Lang - With his MCL sprain/brace, he is basically only useful as a 3PT shooter. Unfortunately, depth issues forces him to play minutes instead of rest
Jordan Granger - If he can find his 3 shot again, he looks great coming off the bench as a plug in play at wing or post. The weight gain looks like an improvement
Tyler Harris - Way better in the post than expected considering Providence used him as stretch 4. Shows some hesitation from inexperience down there, but has some good moves and works hard for rebounds.
Cinmeon Bowers- He actually looks good driving to the basket. Somehow he got worse at layups. And Rebounding. And Defense. And doesn't pass (which he was surprisingly good at last year)
Devin Waddel - Better minutes but I still wish he wasn't relevant to this post.
Horace Spencer - Plays like he has springboards for shoes. Great defender and surprisingly useful on offense when not at FT line. Needs to work on technique for blocking (going vertical not over) and rebound positioning.
