I'm so torn on this game. I don't think the Falcons will win more than 5-6 games all year (Sweet baby Jesus give us Will Anderson) but it's game 1, at home, against the damned Saints.

I dunno how to call this one and not even sure Drake London is playing for ATL. If he's out or not even 90%, I think we take an easy L by 6 or so. If he's active and near 100%, it's an even shot. Could see it 50/50.

Any predictions?
I'm gonna say an absolutely UGLY game from both sides and we all wanna burn our eyeballs. Drake London is a GO but gets yanked in the 3rd qtr as his injury is nagging him. Lots of field goals in this game.

Falcons: 19
Saints: 20

Falcons cover spread though and Vegas wins a ton of $$$.

ETA: In my opinion, the Falcons are better than people dubbing them as the worst team in the NFL. They're not good, but they're gonna win some games this year. To me, the Saints are a bit overrated with a lot of "things are going to be new this year" also sprinkled into the mix. That doesn't typically bode well for teams not being QB'd by Brady.
I think the Falcons win Vegas a lot of money as they cover many spreads this year. NO will let bettors down and make folks lose $$$.

Even though I think Crab Legs is overrated, I’m still going Saints by 13.

Really? That's not impossible but that's a big arse difference in a pro game.

This Falcons defense looks night and day from 21. I think we got ourselves a coaching staff, we just need more players(QB) to truly contend.

I expect another overachieving season like 7-10 or 8-9 and building towards next year.

Pees is worth every penny. The fact he's willing to deal with this team speaks volumes about his respect for Smith.

Smith seems to turn into Dan Quinn once the 4th quarter starts.

Indeed, it's so absurd and old to watch us eek out (or not) games we were in complete control of

What a fricking letdown. We were in complete control and of course we let them come back and win at the end.

Let's face it, ATL is one of the top 3 worst franchises in the league at this point. Same shite, different season. Mistakes at critical junctures, not executing when the game is on the line, penalties at bad times, etc. I knew when Mariota fumbled at the 3 yard line in the 3rd Q that there was a decent chance the Falcons would end up somehow losing.

Agreed. This franchise is merely cursed. In hindsight I kinda saw it coming in the 2nd quarter. Good teams put teams away and we kept getting held to FGs. That and turnovers doomed em.

However, they showed potential and with a lot of young guys, that’s refreshing to see.

I also may take blame for this letdown. Yesterday during the Bama debacle I promised that I’d gladly take a saints arse whipping for Bama to somehow eek out the win.
Sorry all!

I take back every motherfricking thing I said. That was some of the dumbest motherfricking shite I've ever seen. One step closer to the 1st pick, but God damnit.

4th and 1 up by two with less than 2:00 left and they punt.

They deserved to lose. How stupid.

I agree they should have gone for it.

But they lost due to fumble in red zone and the God awful 3 and 1 play call.

Mariota in shotgun gets a yard
