This Indians team is loaded. I'm afraid we're going to see another post-season let down.

Of all the teams the Braves played in the WS in the 1990s, this Indians team was probably the most talented. Their bats were damn good but it isn't like Nagy, Denis Martinez, and Hershiser were bums.

Top to bottom, that Indians lineup was as good as the league has ever seen. Braves pitching in that series was flat out amazing.

I got bored at home a couple of weeks ago and watched Game 6 all over again since I was 12 when it first aired.

I was cussing in the first inning when I realized the umps found a way to screw us out of a run in the first inning. I was screaming for a replay

Also, any time Albert Belle comes up to the plate, I think everyone's sphincter tightens up juuuuust a little bit extra. that dude was scary standing at the plate.

Albert Belle wore a helmet that look like our little league helmets with the flat ear flap. It also looked way too small for his huge head

Game 7 of 1992 NLCS is starting now on FSS.

Francour was interviewing Bream before the game which was pretty cool.

that 92 game was so intense. I think there was another patented "bases loaded no out - no runs scored" from the Braves.

I had forgotten about some of the things that led to that 9th inning rally. Braves definitely got lucky on the 2B error and some questionable calls behind the plate. I think it was the Berryhill walk but I could be mistaken. Dude called a pitch right down the middle a ball LOL.

I also had forgotten that we were up in the series 3-1. Really close to another Braves epic fail.

Realize now why we are cursed against the Cardinals in the playoffs. It’s payback for this arse molestation we put in LaRussa in this 96 NLCS. Good lord.

It’s funny watching these games. Players wearing those shitty little league socks that have the fake stirrup stripe down the side. fricking Gary Gaetti pulled his socks up so tight that the stripe ended at the top of his ankles.

Between the last three games of that series and the first two games of the World Series, the Braves won five games in a row by a combined score of 48-2. I'm not sure if we'll ever see a stretch of playoff dominance like that again.

That's one thing I have been trying to pay attention to when watching these older games. I remember non-Braves fans bitching about Glavine, Smoltz, and Maddux getting calls other pitchers didn't get, but I have noticed a pretty consistent strike zone for both Braves' and their opponents' pitchers.

Maybe that has something to do with playoff umpire crews vs. regular season, I don't know, but especially with the '95 NLCS Game 7, Glavine established how low and outside the home plate umpire would call a strike and kept tossing it in that area.

McCarver said as much in the Top of the 1st.

all of what you said is true, but what I am referring to are pitches right down the middle that were not called, which led to Berryhill getting walked to load the bases. He should have easily been struck out which would have meant the game ends on Hunter's pop up.

after the Braves getting screwed down the road, though, this doesn't bother me at all LOL

i'd like to see some of the games against the Mets in the 99 regular season. FSS needs to get on that. I need some prime Rocker/Chipper in NY dominance.

Ah my bad. I was barely paying attention to that because I was still stressing even though I knew the Braves ended up winning.

8 innings of offensive futility got to me!

i mentioned it before but it's worth mentioning again...

another patented Braves rally killed where they scored 0 runs with bases loaded and no outs earlier in the game. I can't imagine experiencing that live and how livid i would have been (I was 7 at the time and clearly would not have been affected by it in real time)

on the other hand, I was only 10 when they won the WS finally. I somewhat remember it. I attended Game 2 with my dad. I don't really remember many of the details or the atmosphere surrounding it lol

The things I do remember are still in my memory because I watched the 95' season recap VHS tape probably 100 times.

My grandmother got me the 1991 season recap on VHS narrated by Skip Caray that year for Christmas. I probably wore a hole in the tape from watching it and rewinding it so many times.

My dad, brother, and I went camping around Calhoun during the weekend of Game 6 of the '95 WS. Didn't even know the Braves won until we headed home Sunday morning. I remember expecting the series to go 7 because of how good that Indians team was.

I had one for 91 that was narrated by Ernie Johnson. Start of the video talked about Atlanta being Losersville lol
