I'm calling it now: Dan Quinn is retained.

No call from me on whether TD will be the GM next season, but, I am ready to make the call on DQ -- he will be back next season as head coach of the Falcs.

Come on folks. Check out the Falcs record since going 1-7 to start off. It's a good record.

Probably. They will either both be gone or both brought back. A new GM would want his own coach. But I’m fairly certain both will be back.

If we get rid of Dirk Koetter, I’m ok with it.

Saints went 7-9 with SP 3 years running... sometimes it just takes tweaking. I think after the Saints and 49ers games, you could see this team plays with anyone.

Gotta get Kubiak to come and run that beautiful zone running scheme. We are a totally different team when we have a run game to lean on.

I no longer know what’s up and what’s down. After the 1-7 start we looked like one of the worst teams. Now we look like a top 10 team. Defense looks improved while offense seems good at best.

Need a new O coordinator for sure. Who knows though. But if we retain DQ and we start poorly again and finish strong, don’t care, he MUST be fired.

ON the other hand, if the Falcs lose to the Bucs next week and finish 6-10? Hmmmm. DQ and TD might both be fired.

Bottom line is: nobody knows.

I like Dan Quinn and imagine he is one of the best guys to play for. This team really underachieved in the first half tho. And TD needs to get better linemen and pass rushers on this team. I still think both will be back, but will both be on very hot seats next year.

Unbelievably strange season and believe me there's been a ton with this franchise.I have no idea what's going on with this defense.Grady Jarrett played his balls off
throughout the season but the rest were horrific during the 1-7 streak... multiple
blown assignments in the secondary and zero pass rush.Vic Beasley and Isaiah Oliver look like completely different players in this 2 nd half stretch.

I will say getting back Lindstrom on the OL has made a BIG difference.Kid looks like he's gonna be a big time player. The book is still out on McGary although he looks to be improving from a really bad start.

Arthur has been looking for a reason to bring back coach bro. The players have given him that reason. Fans can hate him as a coach, but the players love him for some reason. Sucks, but what can ya do.

These two events are not unrelated, IMO. Getting back the stud guard who provides stability at the position next to McGary has really helped him settle in.

I really hope we can resign Hooper, but it looks like he may be seriously expensive this coming year. Not a great time to be in cap hell.

I've already conceded in my mind that he will be elsewhere next season (hopefully in the AFC). He's playing his way into a massive payday and it would take some real cap creativity to keep him.

If DQ finishes at 7-9 IMHO he will be retained.

If he loses to the Bucs and finishes 6-10, I'm not so sure about my opinion.

I'm sure it's helped 'em out...the guy was
getting flat out embarrassed with pass protection in the 1st half of the season.

I'm hip to that logic but that is the exact same logic that kept Les Miles at LSU 2 years after he ran his course. Sometimes its just time to cut bait. All good things come to an end. I'm a Saints fan and I think your owner is an awesome dude, deserving some real success.

You might be right, but if we are evaluating his job based on a Week 17 game vs. the Bucs lol

We need to use the largest sample size possible. I am ready for a change in both the front office and coaching staff, but Arthur has a hard time letting top coaches and executives go.

I'm starting to think that keeping Quinn and the current defensive staff as is would not be the worst option in the world, but something has to be changed on offense.

I'd be fine with firing Quinn if there's a viable option who has already agreed to take the job though back channel negotiations.

Dimitroff needs to be shown the door at about 4:02 pm on Sunday.

It is just stunning to me that people are using this 5-2 sample size or whatever to justify keeping him. It's like they are totally ignoring the dumpster fire that was our team the first half of the season.

There is absolutely nothing to takeaway from these games that don't matter.

Dan Quinn hired Koetter knowing it was a horrible decision, how does he get a pass for that? Dan Quinn put himself at DC and was absolutely horrible, how does he get a pass for that? We literally won on the last play of the game against SF, you are telling me if that is an incomplete pass we fire DQ? I feel like I am taking crazy pills. The dude is awful and has always had massive coaching issues.

The only argument I have seen for keeping DQ is that for some reason keeping the same regime will not disrupt the Ryan/Julio era... and yet these same people want a new OC we literally changed our DC halfway through the year and we got infinitely better. These regime changes don't matter. The players will play if they are put in the best position to do so.
