How confident are you about the falcons playing seattle?
I feel a little better after the dallas game. But, we could still lose this game. Because of our offensive coordinator and our lack of consistency.

I'm not sure of anything with this team.

On paper, though, it seems like a good matchup. Even better than it was last year in the Playoffs. Our D-line should abuse their O-line, Sherman is out.

I think it's a coin toss (Vegas has it at -3, which basically means they agree given location).

I'm confident that the Falcons can win every game they play. Maybe that makes me naive, but I've seen enough of this team to know that they can do it, especially if they cut out the asinine penalties that have overturned several key turnovers. I nearly lost it when this happened early in the Cowboys game. Luckily it didn't matter like a couple of the others this year have.

I feel this way too. They have one of the most talented rosters in the league, but thats not how the games work, and as we have seen, just because they have the more talented roster, doesnt mean a win. Besides being confident they can win every game, Im also very confident that they can shite the bed against anyone as well.

Not to mention if we can get turnovers (which we are) BUT STOP GETTING PENALTIES THAT NEGATE THEM.

And have the WRs stop tipping passes in the air to be caught by defenders.

It depends on which one of the 8 different versions of the Falcons comes to play. This team can't play the same game twice for whatever reason

I will feel a lot better if Earl Thomas sits. He makes that defense go.

I hate playing in Seattle. We got fricked last year by the officials

I will never understand NFL scheduling.

Going back to 2010, we played GB 2 years in a row in ATL, 2 in a row in GB and then 2 in a row in ATL again. That's not including the postseason.

With Seattle, we played in Seattle in 2010 and 2011, played once in ATL in 2013, and then we now have 2 straight again in Seattle.

If you are playing back to back years against these non-divisional opponents, is it that hard to change the location?

re: How confident are you about the falcons playing seattle?
It how the schedule is set up for the future. Its done years in advance

2017
vs NFC North(2 home, 2 away)
vs NFC East(Finished 1st, play 1st place, Dallas0
@ NFC West(1st place, Seattle)

2018
vs NFC East(2 home, 2 away)
vs NFC West
@ NFC North

2019
vs NCF West(2 home, 2 away)
vs NFC East
@ NFC North

Then it starts over

so if the season ended today, we would be home against The Cardinals, and at Green Bay. Plus the games scheduled against the East(Dallas/Giants home, Philly/Washington road).

I understand HOW it's done. Just don't understand why they do it the way they do.

I actually think its less to do with Sark and more to do with our guys just not being clean and crisp in their execution.

I will say though that the Dallas game, something seemed to click for both Sark and the execution by the players.

Sark finally had some creativity. On Second and goal he puts Poe in at full back and they try to run behind him. Came up short. So on third down they line up the same way. Everybody not wearing a Falcons helmet thought they are going to smash it in behind Poe again. What do we do? Play fake off the obvious and slip Hooper out wide open in the EZ.

Thats the kind of stuff Shanny was doing. Using obvious situational downs to set up subsequent plays.

Not only that example but players seemed to simply execute better.

Even on defense. I think they balled out too on another level which could get them rolling even better than they have been playing.

Remember it was the end of November last year after the loss to KC that we caught fire. Perhaps Dallas was our get right performance.

We shall see Monday night!

Rise up!

I do think this is a pretty decent matchup for the Falcons. Seattle's OL is still atrocious so the pass rush could be big if we stop the run. Their secondary is pretty beat up as well. Pass rush and WR are probably the most talented groups on this team. Not having Freeman will suck though. Coleman is good but we'll miss Freeman's power and toughness in this game. If our OL holds up, I expect us to win the trenches and we'd have a really good shot to win the game.

Lots of ifs in that statement.

It's absolutely this. Sark is low hanging fruit for pissed off fans. This team is undisciplined...that is why their record is what it is. It's not a SB hangover, its not Sark...it's stupidity.

Our stupidity is certainly the #1 thing holding us back but after that it is probably Sark.

As for Seattle, given the amount of injuries they have a good team would go out there and really put it on them. Our season basically depends on winning this game so hopefully our good version shows up.

I think the real key for us tonight is making sure the LBs play their assignments and don't over-pursue Wilson. He's slippery and quick and extends plays. With what they have on the OL against our DL, he should be moving around quite a bit and the LBs can't afford to let him dance around. Need to contain Wilson and get coverage sacks, and regular sacks.

Tevin Coleman needs to run wild tonight. Looks like it's gonna be rainy and cold for the game too.
