Holy lord I hope this isn't true. Dimitroff's constant need to trade up has eradicated this team's ability to build quality depth in the middle rounds of the draft.

If he moves up into the top 10 for CJ Henderson, I might drink myself into a coma.

TD's draft strategy just seems attention driven at this point.

CBS sports mock is now putting us pick #8 for CJ Henderson. Perhaps there really is smoke to this rumor.

frick that. I think Dimitroff is probably a really nice guy, but he sucks as a GM. He has no concept of draft value and doesn't realize that great teams build depth in the mid-late rounds.

Why do all this when your season is over mid season and you decide to then start winning games. Why not just commit to tanking instead of winnign meaningless games when your team is clearly not very good and other teams go into full tank mode while we ruin our draft capital to trade up every year after clearly fielding an inferior team that decide to win games late in the season. It always baffles me.

Blank didn't make a decision on DQ and TD during the season. Since he didn't guarantee their job security (or fire them), they felt like they had to win down the stretch to keep their jobs. That's why we're picking 16th and considering trading up for fricking CJ Henderson instead of having a chance to get Chase Young in the top 5.

That's also why Freeman and Hooper weren't traded during the season when they clearly should have been.

If we really are trading up then I hope it’s for Isaiah Simmons. We have pash rush and coverage issues all wrapped up in one. Kid is a freak athlete and would cover a ton of ground.

Blank had the chance after the 1-7 start last year. Could’ve named the water boy interim HC and watch the season burn, but give us a Top 5 pick.

We’ll see though, I’m excited about the Fowler and Gurley additions. Just hope we don’t trade up for a DB.

Seems like some other mock drafts have us staying and taking Kinlaw at 16. Would take that.

Agreed. It's a deep corner class. I would be happier with Damon Arnette or Bryce Hall in the 3rd round area than trading up for Henderson. Stay put and take Kinlaw or trade down and target Kenneth Murray while picking up additional picks.

If we think he'll fall, then I say stay and take him. Otherwise I think the only player I trade up for would be Simmons. Agree with the posts above on him.

My perfect scenario would be that all 4 OTs and all 4 QBs are gone before we pick and is causes a receiver to drop. Trade down to around 18-21 with a team that would want to jump all over a receiver. Grab an extra third.

1st-Kenneth Murray, OLB, Oklahoma
2nd-Damon Arnette, CB, Ohio State
3rd-Justin Madubuike, DT, Texas A&M
3rd-Darrell Taylor, EDGE, Tennessee
4th-Anthony McFarland Jr, RB, Maryland
4th-Keith Ismael, OG/C, San Diego State
7th-Aaron Parker, WR, Rhode Island

I did a mock draft on Pro Football Network and traded 16 to the Dolphins for 26, 56, and 141. My draft went like this:

1. Kenneth Murray
2. Ross Blacklock
2. Lloyd Cushenberry
3. Damon Arnette
4. Cam Akers
4. Solomon Kindley
4. Brandon Jones
7. Malcolm Perry

Murray, Arnette, and Kindley would be immediate starters. Blacklock would be a good rotational DT to play next to Jarrett in passing situations. Akers would be a phenomenal RB2. Jones would be a backup safety. Cushenberry would be the backup center groomed to take over for Alex Mack in 2021. Perry is dynamic with the ball in his hands who can play either in the slot, RB, or wildcat QB.

We need more draft picks, not less. I don't want to see a trade up.

I will say objectively that UGA will be putting out some incredible talent going forward. It’s also good to see Isaiah Wilson projected in the first round. He will definitely be a late round gem.

I mean Wilson will likely get drafted around where we took McGary. That’s a steal.
