I guess we'll be switching to AT&T tomorrow unless there is a last minute YTTV deal.
I guess I can switch back if a deal gets struck or if I can't live with AT&T.

I love AT&T TV. We ended up making the switch from Comcast because of the 1 gig fibert internet that was routed through our neighborhood recently, so once our Comcast contract was up we made the switch earlier this year.
I am paying a little extra for the non-contract rate, because I like having the flexibility. If I did a contract the initial price would have been much cheaper, but then the year 2 price would have been way more than the non-contract rate. I think overall it was a tad cheaper to go no-contract.

I imagine it'll be fine, but most people who've done both (YTTV and ATT) claim YTTV is better. I do question whether some of that is outdated or the product of anti-AT&T bias (which I admit I have after years of dealing with them).

I’ve done both and there is no real difference. I’ll take having access to all of the Braves games over some minimal difference in interface every day of the week.
Using the ATT streaming device adds more DVR functionality that the ATT app doesn’t have as well....it’s basically like watching cable

I'm sure it's a good setup but what a pain in the arse. I just learned I can't add it to Google TV (Sony built in Smart OS) so I'd have to use a device. Which means I'd need to add devices to all the other Sony TVs in my house which previously didn't need a device.
It sounds like a bunch of other people are facing similar situations, there are genuinely no options that don't involve a bunch of hassle. It's just amazing to me that we're at this point where a huge swath of the country won't be able to watch in-market games.

Lucked out and my roommate's parents have a spare AT&T/Fox Sports login we can use, so I think we've avoided having to cross the VPN/illegal stream bridge.

Absolutely ridiculous that most of Alabama and Mississippi are in the blackout area. From SW Mississippi to ATL is like a 7 hour drive. I can sort of understand a blackout in very close areas, but two states over is a bit much.

What is Bally Sports?... all the sudden?

I believe Sinclair rebranded Fox Sports to Bally Sports.

A lot of us live in Georgia and are having to jump through hoops just to watch the Braves play. It’s fricking ridiculous how these networks and providers can’t get their shite together and come to an agreement so we can watch.

For anyone still struggling with blackouts... maybe I don’t know the right spots but it’s a pain in the arse to find a high quality (free) stream AND get it on my TV. Can find good enough streams and get them on my phone or tablets but I want to reliably be able to watch games in HD on my TV every time.
So I bought mlb tv. Plug a firestick into the tv. Use nord vpn and then mlb tv both of which are native apps on firestick. Easy peezy. Nord has apps for phones and tablets so you can watch when you are not at your tv too.
I’ve been using Chicago servers for crystal clear access. May need to choose a new one when we play the Cubs. And white sox (do we play the white Sox this year?)

I have had Youtube TV for the past few years and really enjoyed it. But due to this i cancelled Youtube TV and opened a ATT TV account. Was able to download the app to my TCL tv and Apple TV and havent had any issues. I will switch back once baseball season is over though.

They also jacked up their prices to the point where it isn't really worth the discount from cable anymore.

Get yourself a firestick, download an IP protector, and find a site to watch MLB for free. I do that when watching the Braves but I just have to keep hitting refresh.

I haven't watched the Braves this year due to this issue. Getting a heavy stream of west coast baseball with Sling. Not sure how I feel, tbh.
