not a big fan of the AL East "rival" component of this schedule. Could have just as easily scheduled a 4 game series (or pair of 2 game series) with each of the 5 AL east opponents. Instead, we get the Red Sox 6 times (should still beat them, but you never know) while the Nats get the Orioles 6 times. 60 games would have made for a nice balanced schedule. In such a short season, those handful of games will make a huge difference.

One thing about this schedule is that no team can play no more than 20 consecutive days. The Braves and Phillies are the only NL East teams that have 20 consecutive games.

I understand pairing up the Nationals and Orioles for 6 games (travel/logistics and they are interleague rivals) but that is a major disparity in talent between the O's and BoSox.

Going to be interesting to see how any rainouts are handled.

Reddit noted that this will be the first time that the Braves haven’t played the Cubs since 1873... the longest contiguous series in American sports.

Damn if accurate.

Big Damn...

Wonder about the Reds and Pirates as well since they're both old school NL teams.

Not a fan of him.

Reminds me of Melky.

COVID testing is part of the physical this year.

Speaking of Freddie, he and Touki have been cleared to resume activities with the club.

Freddie cracked a double tonight.

What’s everybody grilling and drinking Friday night? Can’t wait.

I leave tomorrow night to do some testing/evaluation for work and will likely not be able to catch a game until the 4th or 5th of August.

So I'll miss like 25% of the season

So now that the season is about to start someone tell me how I'm supposed to watch the games since YoutubeTV and Sinclair never came to a deal. I'm in Birmingham, so I don't think MLB.tv is an option given the blackouts.

Hulu live tv carries Fox Sports South & Fox Sports Southeast.Unless there's a cheaper alternative I'm probably going to pay 54.99 for August & September then drop it when the season is over.

Youtube tv carries Fox Sports South but not Fox Sports Southeast. It used to have both but that ended earlier this yr.Most of the Braves games will be on these two channels along with a few on ESPN & MLB. I've got YouTube tv to & I like it.Just wished it still had Fox Southeast.

Correction:I've learned that some YouTube tv subscribers get both Sports South & Southeast. The further you live from that regional fan base or team such as Atlanta you may not get both. I'm in North Alabama so the case for this area is getting just Sports South.

per 680 the fan, apparently Freddie is going to bat in every inning of the two "preseason games" against the Marlins this week.
