He's young, hungry and seems to work the portal well for SMU. I'd take him over Pittman and if it silenced the Malzahnites for good, all the better.

If he is dumb enough to come here, we don't want him. SMU is P5 now and has great booster support. It's a much better set up for him career wise.

SMU with those boosters gave away TV money for 9 years in going to the ACC because they are going to fund NIL and compete in a better league.
Our AD doesn't have money in the coffers to go into that bidding war.

SMU has dogshit support from fans. Sure anyone can be moneywhipped but besides cash it’s not that appealing a job.

Why isn’t it appealing?
No big pressure to win tons of games. P5 school whose biggest booster cares more about the basketball program. Fan support is decent to good.

In the end, there is only two conferences a coach should want to be in, and the dying ACC isn’t one.
We should go after Norvell next year if FSU doesn’t split from the ACC.

Should’ve hired Norvell in the first place. Right in our back yard and FSU scooped him up. He’s who I wanted and when Chad was hired I wanted Rhule. Instead we hired Chad because Jerry’s grandson played ball with his kid and then we hired Sam because Georgia had success and he was here before.

They’re leaving the American for the ACC. SMU has decent to good ticket sales at home. Just have a smaller stadium.
