who you talking too?

Not sure why you jumped the shark with such a response....

When have we ever pulled the incredible hire in Razorback Football? And was it in the last 20 years?

Dabo is a wash.... Tortilla gulper is a wash... Basketball takes a much smaller Nil and ours sucks without a chicken man/ JB Hunt, etc.

Our Nil director resigned today... Give us all of the correct answers, ohhh brilliant one!

Look I admire your optimism and hope we get lanning that would be awesome but just don’t see it happening. I think we need to go try and pull a really good g5 coach. The good news with all the conference realignment is that with us being in one of the 2 major conferences it does provide a real incentive to any up and comer who is hungry and wants a shot at the big dogs.

well that’s not saying much, since that’s true with just about every school. Oregons isn’t much if you remove Phil knight. Okie state would still be broke without t Boone Pickens etc.

Yeah, what do they have to lose? Get to be a millionaire one way or another. Ask chad and bert.

When they sign that contract they’ve got it made, how much incentive is left after that. I guess maybe some still care about winning.

There's no use in trying to predict the movements of our enigma of a football program, but it's safe to assume it's not the coach that was just given a blank check to sign whatever roster he wants. No reason to lash out just because the answer to your question was obvious.

Wasn't an obvious answer, I'm not fist deep in Oregon's arse like a few in this thread apparently are, was just asking the question and trying to stir up a little conversation about who y'all think we can/should get. My bad I guess.

Lanning would definitely be a pipe dream, but pretty much everybody would've called getting Cal a pipe dream this time last year also.

And Campbell was just a name I threw out, not a huge fan but I'd take him over Kliff for sure.

I’d try to get Kansas states coach Chris Klieman. He’s a little older at 56 but he’s won everywhere he’s been and seems to have the fire to compete. Also great at overcoming less than ideal recruiting grounds

could be said about any coach in the power 5. Hell why do you think Calipari is going to be successful then? He just got a big check too? Why does Kirby smart want to be successful he’s got it paid monetarily?

yeah no shite this is necessary regardless how much you pay them

I could get onboard with this hire.

But unless a big donor decides to put up the jack and call the shots on a new HC, I fully expect the BOT to again step on their dicks yet again.

The way Phil Knight said there is an open check book for a football championship, no.

Also Oregon is a better brand right now. Easier path. They are in the Big10. 3-4 tough games a year.

It will eventually happen but Arkansas doesn't need to pay big money for a coach. That needs to go to the players. Unfortunately we never lead the way

What about James Franklin? Say he loses to Michigan and Ohio state again and feels like he’ll never get over the hump at Penn state. Could he take a chance at getting back into the sec? I think the guys a douche but he seems to win everywhere he goes

He would be a fool to leave. Franklin can coach on autopilot and win 9 games a season while collecting a fat paycheck in a college town where they will quite literally turn a blind eye to coaches raping children.

Actually, they'll turn a blind eye to a lot of raping. Evidently Paterno had a serial rapist on the team that he defended while the guy raped and beat dozens of women in the area.

Wholesome folks up there. Franklin can coast along and if that once in a blue moon season hits they'll build statues to him. Here he'd have fight and claw for every win. Why do that?

Unless we are willing to pay out the nose we aren't getting a coach from an established program... and if we are willing to pay that much lets get one with a better track record of success.
