If they were already one of the last 4 in they won't bump us out.

Nebraska, Minnesota, and to some extent Indiana have a greater opportunity to play themselves out of the NCAAs in the conference tourney than Arkansas.

Yeah Nebraska's first game will be against Ohio State, I don't see them winning that one.

They were, Arkansas was the #1 in the "last 4" before yesterday, Nebraska was #4.

Tennessee moved to the #1 today, with Nebraska #3, and Arkansas #4 according to Lunardi (most pessimistic towards Arkansas of the Bracketologist).

LINK

Here's a link to the Dance Card, it has us 4 spots below the bubble but it doesn't account for at large teams ahead of us that will win their conference tournaments. If 4 teams ahead of us win their conference tournaments then we're in.

I would be surprised to see any upsets in the Pac/Big12 tourneys (since the entire conferences are said to be deserving), the SEC could have an upset, you would expect the AAC and ACC to not have any upsets.

The Big East, WCC, and A10 would be the conferences to watch for stolen bids, unless someone knocks of WSU in the MVC.

I can't take Lunardi seriously....he has had a hard on for hating Anderson and Arkansas for some reason

They sealed the deal and won the MVC yesterday so we don't have to worry about them.

Just looking at the top 5 teams from the dance card, they could all win their conference tournaments.

He and Katz do not like to eat crow, both wrote Arkansas off as *maybe* a NIT team a month ago.

Palm had them firmly in to the tourney a week ago with the Bama game and SECT only affecting seeding.

Personally I think they get in as a bye 12 with a SEC-T win, 11 or 10 seed if they beat Tennessee.

No other team "on the bubble" has as good of a record against the top competition as Arkansas, if OSU is a "lock" with a losing big12 record then Arkansas is a lock with a good record overall.

Alright, I was thinking the MVC championship game was tonight for some reason.

I don't think TN has as good of a resume as us.

Tenn is 1-4 vs. top 25 RPI, 2-5 vs. top 50 RPI

Arkansas is 2-1 vs. top 25, 4-3 vs. top 50

I'm honestly not worried about making the tournament at all. Our RPI is firmly within the top 64 and our resume is stacked when compared to the other bubble teams. That SMU win is MASSIVE now. I could give a rat's arse was Lunardi thinks. The committee as a whole is the only thing that matters and they will look at everything. When anyone with a brain does that, Arkansas is clearly deserving.

They don't.

They do have a high SOS and RPI which is more of an anomaly than fact due to great schedule manipulation.

WCC

BYU vs Gonzaga final.

Gonzaga was already likely "in", a BYU loss might put them back on the bubble with Arkansas.

TN did beat us though. And if we don't beat them in the SECt, they'll have beaten us twice. It will be hard for the committee to pick us over them.

It isn't a play in game.

For example, BYU is getting blown out by Gonzaga, Arkansas at least kept it close, BYU could be playing themselves out right now.

I believe the talking heads said Arkansas has played more tourney teams than anyone else "on the bubble" and had the best record against top competition of these same teams.
