Eh, everybody else passed on him too. If Chad doesn't work out after year 3, he'll be there for Arkansas unless Memphis make some serious noise this season.

I wanted Norvell over Chad. Still do.
The "whispers" are most likely bullshite.
Best case scenario with Chad is he does well here, he goes to A&M because he's an Aggie. It was a short-sighted hire.

Although I like what Chad is doing mostly, I’ll be pissed if Norvel ends up being another one of those that got away. I will say he didn’t have to build anything at Memphis. Inherited a good roster for his system.

Well, at least we'll never have to worry about Aggie Chad going to College Station for anything. Obviously he isn't qualified to even be an assistant at an SEC school.

Who cares. Everyone one of those BOT members would get their dick wet by a hotty coed if they could. Their just too old so they shite on everyone else that can.
They fired the winner. And we had a chance to hire another winner and passed on him for no reason. Now we are stuck with Aggie Chad who has had only one winning season as a CFB coach.

I never deluded myself into thinking we were getting a big(ish) name, so I was a Norvell guy through and through for a few reasons. From here, knows the state and program, offensive guy, young and energetic, winner.
I've seen the message board rumors and my take on it is this -- they're either bullshite or it's in the past. Either way I really don't care. These guys are coaching football, not commanding the Pacific Fleet. There are lots of great coaches who are shitbags, as well as a lot of great people who are shitty coaches. I have three simple requests -- don't cheat (read: don't get caught), don't commit a heinous crime or harm players (e.g. DJ Durkin), and keep us out of the negative news cycle.

That's what worries me. We have a penchant for passing on or screwing over coaches who want our job and having it come back to bite us for years. Hatfield over Jimmy Johnson, Nutt over Tuberville, and Bert over Malzahn are just a few.
It would be the most Arkansas thing ever for us to choose Morris over Norvell only to have Norvell wind up at Ole Miss next year and go balls deep on us with a seething hatred for a decade.
