Rent a wins this week boys. Against the team that held Tennessee to 66 points and another team that's 10-1.

This team that lost tonight could very well turn around and beat Kentucky or reel off 9 straight.

So beating Ky gets us in or winning 16?

I'm struggling with your math Bruh

You really showed him there, Mr Toxic. He's trying to make a point; you're being rude. The fact you can't/won't list games you have confidence in winning tells us everything we need to know about the state of our program. It's mediocre.

There’s no way this team wins 13 more games. Outside of Gafford we have ZERO inside presence. We’ll win a couple we shouldn’t from hot shooting/ good defense but too much inexperience and lack of coaching to get us over the hump. The last timeout after Gafford fouled out mike stood behind gafford staring off into space as gafford talked to the players in the huddle.

Gafford absolutely is a lottery talent but he doesn’t look like he made a lot of strides from last year to this year at least from an offensive standpoint. He has no spot up game, he can’t create for himself and he’s been outworked by multiple bigs this year. Not to mention Mike didn’t get him a lot of help at the 4 or a 5 at all to give him decent rest

Mike Anderson has a first round pick and never runs a play for him. It’s amazing to watch.

So is this Dude

No. He is criticizing Mike Anderson's coaching. You were being deliberately obtuse.

For the record, I wish Mike would demand the offense run through Gafford more often.

Don't care anymore. Over it. I shouldn't have got so defensive this evening. Apologies to Drewbie, but nobody else.

Good morning, Mike Anderson is a mediocre basketball coach.

Nope and he's gonna play himself right out of the lottery if he doesn't pick it up, which I'm hoping he's realizing that and it will be a catalyst for this team. He has shown improvement, but it's so little at this point it's going to hurt him. He has to prove he can pass and can spot up. That he can be a focal offensive player.

Gafford is an NBA lottery talent. He gets like 27 minutes a game on a team with no length. His usage rate is 160th in the country. What good is having a great player if we don't ride him?

Do you watch the games? He gets gassed easily and starts huffing and puffing. He's played with very little effort since the Indiana game. I thought he was sick but it seems like a mental thing now because he hasn't been himself for weeks.

Where in the world do you see the wins coming from in order to make the NCAAt? This team isn't even playing its way into the NIT right now.

RPI is sitting at 143 currently. The teams that we can likely beat in SEC play have RPI's that aren't going to help that much.

Although, your overall point is correct. RPI isn't important anymore, NET is what we need to look at now. We are currently 104 and dropped 34 points after last night.

This is a basic breakdown: CBS Sports

quote:

The NET, which is owned by the NCAA, will have five components that build out its 1-353 rankings. They are:

Team value index. This is the most dominant feature, according to the NCAA, and it's based on win-loss results (with strength of schedule also being an important component). Opponent faced will be an emphasis here.

Team efficiency. A team's average efficiency (points scored and allowed per 100 possessions) on offense and defense will be taken into account, which introduces predictive elements into the process.

Wins. A team's overall D-I winning percentage will play a not-insignificant part.

Adjusted winning percentage. This portion will reward teams for winning on the road, dock for losing at home, and balance out neutral-court performance. Opponents faced will not be factored here the way it is in the team value index.

Scoring margin. For the first time, teams will be officially evaluated based on how much they win a game by. The scoring margin is capped at 10 points. This is a big step, backed by data.

Of course, this is the first year so we will have to see how consistent the committee actually when tournament time rolls around.

I try not to get to up and down on the team this early

I posed the same question to PioEd last night,

Assuming we don't shite the bed again against Texass St and Austin Peay please list the 13 games that we will win that gets us in the Tourney.

His response

quote:

Listing the games is dumb. This is basketball, not football.

Don't expect an answer, he's just throwing shite against the wall to see what sticks...

I wonder if there's anything the coaches could do to limit that impact? Hmmm. Nope. Impossible. Surely it'll get better by limiting his minutes and chasing every inch of the court.
