We will be >.500 in SEC play IMO.

I'm hoping we are just a little better than I even hope we will be because right now I'm thinking we are looking like an 8 seed in the tournament.

I would like to see that jump a couple spots.

ESPN only gives us a 38% chance to beat Florida

As I was saying earlier today I think this team is gonna fare better on the road than at home early. Sounds weird, but that's the way I see it.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we lost to the Gaytors.

But I also wouldn't be surprised to see a win either.

I'm not even sure they have updated since our game plus after Florida's game, which they are struggling to put away USCe at home. That should move more into our favor. Should be a really low scoring game on Wednesday night.

Kevin McFearson (Sp?) and some BB guru's on the buzz said 7-9 wins in the SEC this season is their prediction.

So... Will winning one half of the games get us in the SEC tourney?

I don't know if a .500 finish in league play would get us in or not. It would be close.

But I don't think that'll be a problem. I think we are top 4 in the SEC and THAT should be enough.

SEC Tourney? I think there's no doubt.

SEC tournament for sure but I'm guessing you mean the NCAA tournament. I don't think 9-9 will be enough unless we get 2-3 wins in the SEC tournament. It also really depends on how well the SEC does vs the Big 12 in the challenge we have coming up. The league could really use a boost by winning that challenge.

We should at home. Their offense has been very, very bad at times. I'm more worried about LSU.

Well sure, I agree especially since we probably won't get the best 3 teams in the league at home this year. I just think LSU is a worse matchup than Florida. FWIW Kenpom disagrees though, thinks we beat LSU but lose to Florida.

You can argue they got screwed on the last call but still not a good sign to be close with a team like that.

So if Florida has a >60% chance of beating Arkansas in Fayetteville, and Arkansas wins the game, how many more games you guys think we gotta win to get back into that Top 25 conversation?

ETA: it shouldnt be too many more. I mean, Kentucky is still up there with the same record Arkansas has.

Wisconsin is still in there despite 4 loses already.

What's weird is Houston is one of the few remaining undefeated teams out there and they're sitting behind teams with 3 losses.

If we beat Florida and LSU, we will be in the receiving votes. Going to take another week or two of winning to break in the top 25.

They have better wins and losses than us.

They have better wins than us and they are going to fall out of the top 25 anyway with the next poll.

I agree that they are being undervalued but they don't have any great wins. LSU at home is their best so far.

2. Beat Florida and LSU and we'll get votes.

How many to get in top 25?

4. After UF & LSU beat Tennesee & Ole Miss on the road and we will be top 25 again anywhere between 25-18.

Drop Tennessee but win the other three and we're on the high end of the recieving votes and maybe top #25 or #24 depending on how other schools do.
