You're obviously a more moral person than me, I guess. I've never hated him, nor did I want count face Long to fire him.

I don't hate him.

He was the last coach that made Arkansas relevant in football with back to back 10 win seasons since 88-89.

John L. Smith
Bert
Chad Morris
Sam Pittman

Blame the individuals for these hires.

I was speaking in "Proverb" Not long after he was fired, and the hell storm that rained on Arkansas' fans parades... Yes, he was for a moment in time, the most hated man in Arkansas... I think anyways.

He is still a very good OC... with the right weapons. I want to see him stick it out for a change. We all know his history man.

If you actually believe that she was the one who hired Chard... then you are not as thick with the PTB that you claim to be.

Seriously. It is a great litmus test for Hog fan. If they discuss JCP = instantly know they are a mouth breather

She was the demise, because the idiots in charge thought it was a good idea to shite can both the AD and the coach.

Lest we not forget all the ball licking that ensued after Chard was hired

Let me see if I've got this straight, she's to blame because they fired everyone and then locked her out of the decision making process as to who will be our new HC. I see. Yes. That is... certainly a very interesting theory.

Shall we tackle this... peculiar... notion? Long was already under fire when the board discovered we might not be in the good financial shape we thought we were. Then, after he refused to fire Bert, they canned Long and JCP became temporary AD. She fired Bert both because the big boosters wanted it and because Bert was an out of control addict. Seriously, Bert getting fired from Arkansas might have saved his life. A few more years like that and he'd have keeled over on the sidelines.

By all accounts that I have heard, and please feel free to correct me, JCP wanted Lane Kiffin. The board wanted Gus and JCP was pretty quickly locked out of the decision making process. Then Gus used our interest to leverage a sweetheart deal with Auburn. We had no coach on the horizon and in desperation hired Choad Morris.

So, to sum up, Long and Bert were both shite canned for good reason. The big boosters staged a revolt and rather than let JCP handle the hiring process did so on their own. After helping Hunter get his footing JCP left for Ohio University.

I was going to say she's a below average AD, but a quick look at her resume shows she's been quite successful at her current job and has enjoyed three straight 9 win seasons in football. Perhaps, instead of blaming her, we should have hired to be the regular AD and let her pick the head coach for football.

You can say what you want about Chad, but you can’t say he couldn’t recruit. It’s about the only thing he could do. And he would have been better at it had he been a better coach.

This is why Frank Broyles was so good at his job because ran his department like the mafia. No booster crossed him and he wouldn't let anyone take control or tell him what to do like they are doing with Yuracheck.

Some programs like Alabama do very well when they have the boosters make all the decisions, it's why they have been so good in football for so long.

On the other hand, Arkansas has some of most idiotic boosters in the nation.

At the time we all thought she'd at least had a hand in picking Chode. When the dust settled and the truth came out folks discovered she'd been locked out fairly early.

In a way it was a triple disaster for the program. Chode Morris put us in a hole, we missed on hiring Lane Kiffin when we could have gotten him cheap, and after having their exceptionally poor hiring choice rubbed in their faces a lot of the big money boosters decreased their donations to the program.

We didn't just poop the bed, we smeared fecal matter all over the whole room.

She actually wanted to hire Kiffin and was told no.

We could have had Kiffin twice and he wanted our job but the PTB are incompetent. You can see why he has an axe to grind against us.

He was also passed over to replace Nutt.

He knew he was going to be fired from the raiders and was lobbying for the job pretty hard.

I just don't understand. Was the staff telling the players a bowl game was the goal? If so there doesn't seek to have been much buy in

What a load of horse spit. The reason we are in football hell is because of the decisions the administration has made since BP's departure. He didn't hire BB, fire J. Long without a replacement, get played by Gus, hire Chaggy, or Cashacheck.

He made his own mistakes, but what came after is NOT on him.

agree to disagree here....

He didn't hire BB, (Uhh, we had to hire someone... afterall he was a douche nugget. And not everyone wanted the job for the dumpster fire he left us in after his affair/lies. I mean, we had JLS "Smile" for the Lord's Sake).. fire J. Long without a replacement, (PEEBLES) get played by Gus, hire Chaggy, or Cashacheck.

Again man, all of this began by the earthquake he had a large part in creating. I like BP as a playcaller, and hope he stays. If he doesn't .. all of the coach speak, and tears, and showmanship was just that. "Horse Spit"
