Arkansas needs to play a game in Little Rock. Don’t regionalize your team. If you start cutting people off it makes it more difficult.”
“If it wasn’t for Little Rock games, I wouldn’t be in football today. We didn’t have youth football where I grew up.”
“You’re not going to out-coach anybody in the SEC. You’d better get players.”
“You have to understand it starts with defense in the SEC. That’s why most guys who have success have been defensive coaches.”
“If you don’t have a physical defense… You’re going to have to outscore people, and eventually your offense isn’t going to show up.”
“I’m going to do something. Whether it’s ESPN, or possibly being an athletic director, and I’m not going to rule out coaching.”
“I want Arkansas to survive and be great like it once was.”
So, for AD? Head Coach? Search Committee Chairman?

Ok so did you actually hear him speak? I want to know if it is just hogville style thinking that is claiming he is campaigning for some role here, or if someone with a level head heard it the same way.

I was there, he's not campaigning for anything on the hill at this time since there are no vacancies.

Tuberville has forgotten more about football than I'll ever know, but I feel like some of those points are kinda dated.

Especially this one

Lot more truth in those quotes than many will admit. And I don't think he's campaigning for anything either.

Tommy T is not me

And I bet you would have us believe that you aren't pioneer either. Now this is starting to make sense.
Retired coach so you are bored with multiple alters. Hates Tyson because you took a tendie up the rear, and because they are the one who blocked you from being hired.

I agree with pretty much everything he said. I don’t think we should continue to play in LR, but when and where Tommy grew up why wouldn’t he think that about LR.
He’s 100% right about Defense and Recruiting.

We need to act like a real program and GTFO of LR.
We play far too many games away from our home stadium.

Agreed, especially this one:

Not sure if Tuberville knows this, but the current coaching cadre of the SEC includes Bret Bielema, Butch Jones, Kevin Sumlin, Barry Odom, Will Muschamp, and Ed Orgeron.
Not exactly the murderers row of the mid to late 2000s.

He is right about the defense. I always liked Tubberville, his teams had attitude, and he was consistent.

First post from a long time lurker. Heard the interview today and honestly I could give two fricks about playing in LR and I live near LR now.
But growing up in southern AR, I do know what he is saying to a certain extent. Not that I am near his age or anything but LR games were a big deal for us. We took the annual trip to LR to watch a game. No way in hell my Dad would drive to the complete opposite end of the state to see a game. But I won't shed a tear about LR games at all.

We NEED to play a game in LR that has consequence. Does it make sense? No. But they NEED to

I did, Dad did for years, not a problem.
235 miles one way, not a problem to cheer on the Pigs.
Dad was a season ticket holder at tWarDump also, saw some great games there.
tWarDump is dead IDGAF what Tubbs said

Tommy is a little late with the message. Jeff Long has already regionalized the UofA.
There are tons of people from LR down that couldn't give a frick less about the Hogs.
I live amongst them, I see them every day, I hear them.
If you don't believe me, come down and stay a while.
