Love that Morris holds them accountable. Old school coaching at its finest.
At this point I think we know we are going to get a fairly honest account of what is going on. Obviously we aren't going to get the whole truth because no coach does that but he isn't going to sugarcoat many things. He is not afraid to say the practice sucked.
Chavis has been the same way when he isn't happy with what is going on.

All you get locally are puff pieces that would lead you to believe we should win 8 or 9 games. Like always. If you listen to call in shows then it's the typical prediction that we should beat everybody but Bama and Auburn this season.

Every so often I'm able to listen to the radio stations when people are calling in for predictions each week. Oh man, it is crazy how optimistic some can get even in a bad year.

There's a mock game open to the media on Saturday, should be lots of news from that.

So, regarding the QB situation
I'm guessing their goal is to start Kelley but be ahead enough in the 2nd half to throw some of the young QBs in considering the new red shirt rules?

I really wish people would stop differentiating rape on gender and equate it with its true source... Being a terrible person. And terrible people can be male or female. There's actual data that supports the notion that a significant portion of abuse is initiated by women. Women can do anything that men can do. Somehow, no one is preaching for education majors to learn not to sleep with teenage boys.
The overwhelming (!!!) majority of men in this country would risk their lives to stop a rape from happening, much less actually commit one. But, once again, the actions of a few overshadow that and make it necessary to treat all men as potential perpetrators just waiting to snap.
Other than that one comment from Chad... Very cool.

I believe it’s open to season ticket holders as well. I got an invite to tour the new addition and watch the scrimmage.

Honestly, I was very concerned about Kelley's accuracy issues. I do believe that Kelley being the starter gives us the best chance to make a bowl game.
If the Oracle told us we weren't going to make a bowl game, I would guess the chance of one of the greenhorns starting would increase considerably.
"The Guy" needs to be whoever gets us to 6 wins. Our schedule will rarely be this soft; the value of making a bowl game is substantial and greatly outweighs getting reps for the "The Next Guy."

I'll be there, if I get drunk enough Saturday night I'll post some notes.
It's just a bunch of scripted scenarios though, not even a scrimmage. We won't really know anything about this team until we play at Colorado State. It's a decent enough team, on the road, at altitude. Funny thing, we picked up this game because Michigan cancelled on us, but now it's pretty much the biggest swing game on the schedule. I think a bowl game hinges on Colorado State.

I actually think North Texas may be a better team than Colorado State this year, but it’ll be a good opportunity for us to play a road game before we have to go to Auburn.
