Unfortunately, this will be coupled with the least amount of returning talent in Arkansas history. Chad is gonna need for the freshman to contribute...BIGLY.

I am cautiously optimistic

This isn't a one year rebuild. Chad's going to have to stack these classes for a couple of years before we get the depth we need. Definitely a massive step in the right direction, though.

Keep recruiting and make good hires when we have openings. Replace athletes and coaches that don't get it done. Do this for four years straight and we will be back in business.

We havent finished ranked above 20 before? I thought we had a class around 15 in the petrino years?

Nah, Bobby's best class was 20. Believe it was the year in which the state was loaded with talent.

Bobby's best class finished #16 on Rivals. He also signed like 30 people that year IIRC.

Edit: it could have been Scout, not Rivals. It was 16 on one service.

And that was only because they counted Mallett IIRC.

Right but everyone uses composite so I just assume that is what we are talking about unless mentioned otherwise.

it is just unbelievable the amount of talent assembled for a coach who was just at SMU with a mediocre record, (Yes, I know it was SMU and a miracle to get what he did) and having a terrible season...

SURPRISED PLEASANTLY!

2009 (#16) - 31 LINK

So many of those never contributed or attrition happened though.

Also they followed it up with the #49 class in 2010.

If Chad can stack three consecutive classes watch out.
