In this thread I will do my best to help some of us who are frustrated at the state of Arkansas football. So now for the diagnosis. First off let's find some common ground.
Do you
A. Believe we have talent that wasnt coached properly
Or
B. No talent that could be worked with and your just frustrated with losing and want someone to be mad at.
If you fall under option A you're stupid and if you fall under option B you are a child sit back and let chaggy work

I'll own my part in the "toxicity" of this place and step aside awhile. Maybe once we have won a few games it'll be safe to speak well of our basketball program. Until then, have fun y'all.

Option C - a lot of both....and we have sucked for so long that we are considered to be below Vanderbilt.

I can see people being upset and not just because of Bert. We are in a long spell of overall blahness for Arkansas sports in general.
Arkansas softball and soccer have greatly improved but not gotten over the hump to be elite. Our track programs seem to have taken a step back and in the case of our men's team several steps back. Our basketball programs are respectable but snake bit.
Women's golf and baseball both made it to the Championship and fell apart. We had the Fly Ball for baseball and our women's team playing their single worst weekend of golf all year.
Its hard to be cheerful about Arkansas sports when everything seems to blow up in your face.
Hopefully things turn around for us somewhere but its been a rough few years here.

We followed up our best coach since Holtz with our worst coach ever. JLS doesn't count since he was an interim coach.
Aggy Bert (can't call him Aggy Chad until he wins a conference game) is putting together a lot of talent in this class. He has a ton of recruiting to do to dig us out of the hole Bert left us in. Will fans give him time?

Toxic? Take my advice. If this level of toxicity is a problem for you, never try to tell the board that we need a defensive minded coach who isn't a fat, lazy douche.
My answer is C. Talent and even experience in several areas, but much of which never bought in to the new coach due to a vast difference in culture and expectations from the old coach.
I split responsibility for this year about 80/20. 80% to the upperclassmen, who obviously preferred comfort, and camaraderie, above effort, and winning. If they had ever won jack shite their way, a person could at least ponder the possibility of them being right in not buying in. They didn't.
20% Chad, for not recognizing early on, and identifying the non hackers on his team, and booting them the frick out. He may have nipped this shite in the bud about 2-3 games in, but he was too busy talking about lovin' up on these grown arse men.
