We reached our fifth straight SEC championship. We lost our fifth straight SEC championship.
For whatever reason we are horrifically bad in SEC title games no matter the sport. We've been in 33 title games across all sports... we've won 4.
Perhaps we should look into ritual sacrifice to appease the dark spirits?

This one really hurts because they were the 7th seed. It’s not like some of the other losses. We were supposed to cruise in this one. Par for the course though for us.

I was at the game today, my thoughts.
After the quick goal put us up 1-0 Vandy never looked back. They immediately took control of the game and kept us on defense for the rest of the match.
I kept thinking that we would mount an attack in the 2nd half but the girls were always a step or two slow to the ball.
Congrats to the smart kids.
Weather was amazing.
There's always the NCCA championships and next season.

I just don’t feel like SEC Tournament championship games mean a whole lot in sports where you’re already a lock for the NCAA tournament. Would be nice to add the trophy to the case though for recruiting.

Which is weird, because isn't that our game plan?
FWIW, Vandy isn't a bad team, though. They were ranked early and I believe were one of the preseason favorites, but they lost a game or two early in the season.
On a positive note, at least we finally beat South Carolina for the first time in a while.

I turned it on then back off. They looked outmatched.
