Butch would give you the same thing leach would so I would be fine with that. It’s cool if mike leach weirds you out so you don’t want him but I wish people would just say that instead of making up complete bullshite about his coaching the man can obviously coach. Anybody who can put together 3 straight 8 win plus seasons at Washington state and Texas tech can obviously coach their fricking arse off

Butch is who the program needs, but likely not who they will hire, unfortunately.

I can agree with this, and Butch can and would draw fine assistants.
and I also have heard about the phone calls from Freeze and Leach.
But, I am thinking the call from Leach is for $$$$ from his current job.
He is one wily individual...

No I have a set of criteria and Leach just happens to be one of the coaches messageboards are enamored with that checks none of the boxes with me.

he will bring up how he’s never won a conference title probably. That’s what he said earlier to say mike leach wasn’t a good coach.

How would we do if he beat Auburn, and then lost to App State the next week? Then he proceeded to beat LSU, but lose to the Miss Schools, Vandy, and Colorado State?
He has been in weaker conferences and never won them. His personality is WEIRD as can be.

The losing to smaller teams is blow way out of proportion rev. He’s lost 2 fcs games in 17 years. But hell coach o lost to Troy the same year he won 9 games. Now look where he’s at. Saban lost to ulm. Weird upsets happen but it wouldn’t be an every other week occurrence
