Yea. At first I didn't think it hit him, but on replay it did. But yes, it was an Oscar worthy acting job when he didn't really need it.

Anyone going to the game in Springfield tomorrow?

Anyone watching the clusterf*cked calls tonight?

That might have been the worst called 3rd strike I've ever seen if that's what it was
Posted on 4/11/17 at 7:25 pm to gohogs141
That's what it was. The ump didn't even call it initially, and it was a ball anyway.

Yea, I was a bit concerned. Guys took care of business like they should have. MoState isn't bad. Good RPI win.

I should clarify...I was a bit concerned how the team would bounce back against a very solid opponent. As an Arkansas fan, I was expecting an egg to be laid. The guys responded well and got back to pounding the ball.

Good deal.
UGA series starts tonight. Really would be nice to get a game back from last weekend and sweep this series.

UGA tried to pull a fast one switching starting pitchers right before the game, then we put 14 on them.

Proud of Spanberger's approach at the plate. Dude is raking the other way with power.
Our pitchers other than Knight and Stephan need to step up.

Spanberger has been a monster lately.

We really miss the two guys we lost. Especially McKinney. He would likely be a Sunday starter with this starting group. My only concern is that if we do not find anyone who can get consistent out of the pen, we will be doomed in an extended series come regional/super regional/cws time.
While its great hitting the long ball, we've got to find another solid arm. The best thing for us would be finding another guy who can start on Sunday and putting Alberius back in the pen so he can be used twice in a weekend. IMO

I so wish I could disagree with you on this so I didn't have to worry about it come regional time but you hit the nail on the head.
We need one more quality pitcher... and to somehow break the Saturday jinx that has been putting the weenie to us.

From now until the end of the season, the most important thing is finding a guy who can give us 3-4 quality start innings on Sunday. If we can have Alberius in the pen come Regional time and CWS time, watch out. If not, we may not make it far.
The biggest thing is just throwing strikes. Our pen, outside of Alberius is all over the zone. We field the ball well, so let the ball get in play on Sunday's. No biggie. We have the sticks to mash with anyone IMO.

I like Reindl for that Sunday spot but he is one of the guys out of the pen that you can count on right now.
