.. Irwin to tonight in his YouTube segment said that McDonnell felt disrespected by Long, so he called it quits a little earlier than he wanted and then recommended his top assistant for the job, so then, of course Long goes and hires Bucknam... Who should hsv ebeen fricking fired years ago.

Irwin goes on to say that Hunter has not commented on the state of the men's track program, but he doesn't expect it to sit well with him in the shape the program is in now and there are "rumors" Bucknam may retire after the season.

I'll chip in to buy his bus ticket out of Arkansas forever. The guy has taken the football equivalent of Alabama, Clemson, and LSU combined and turned them into a nobody in less than a decade.

I still can't fathom how this guy still has a job.

Jeff Long was pretty much 100% garbage.

I remember him using his Twitter trying to get his daughter "votes" in some contest so she could win a scholarship.

Her dad was making $700k a year, and he's using his Twitter following to try to get a scholarship for his kid.

He's a tone-deaf moron, and it is proven that he was worse than useless as an AD.

Depends on what narrative is being supported.

What good is it for a reporter to know something if he has to wait 5-10 years before he can report it?

You have to wait until all parties are involved to be elsewhere to shed light on the truth.

Does anyone think McDonnell or Long care enough about the topic to dispute any of his claims? Or Nutt and Gus? Etc.

I can't wait to hear 10 years from now how Leach was begging for the job and willing to take a pay cut, yadda yadda yadda, if he works out at Ms. State while Pittboss does not, of course.

I get that the young guys have to do this but why to guys who are past retirement age like Irwin and Hall fear criticizing the current coach/admin?

Irwin is still beating the drum of "a whole lot more went down with the Nutt and Gus saga that would blow peoples' minds - can't say right now but I'll tell it someday." As if people really give a shite anymore.

Our state media people sure do get tough on folks after they've left the state

Screw Jeff Long and screw the pussies in the Arkansas media who were too scared to call him out when he was here

Is he waiting for a deathbed confession? "Back in the day we'd all help Nutt cover up his hobby of murdering prostitutes. It was just one of those things, everyone has their little peccadilloes. Gus got upset because Nutt wouldn't let him have the bodies. You know Gus is really into that ritual cannibalism stuff, I'm just saying be careful when he invites you over to dinner. That is where they really started falling out with each other."
