I don't know where you suddenly came from, but stop posting 500 times every two months if this what we're going to keep getting.

Sigh.

South Carolina: Population 4,900,000, Black population 1,372,000

Arkansas: Population 2,900,000, Black population 445,000

BUT GUYS! Arkansas and South Carolina are totally 100% identical!!!!

That's just population differences, it doesn't discuss income levels higher in South Carolina, health statistics better in South Carolina, education levels in South Carolina, population density within a radius of the school being higher in South Carolina...

Yeah, tottttaalllly identical circumstances. And yet we still historically outperform them, even with the worst coach of all time according to OP, Bert.

I think we've demonstrated that the op has no idea what he's talking about. Can this thread be anchored so other teams don't believe we're completely out of touch with reality like this moron?

Over the past years, teams such as Baylor, TCU, OkState, Mizzou, Utah, and Mich State have been at times more consistant national "players" than we have. Perhaps it is because we are in the SECw. Or perhaps we aren't prepared to do what it takes to win the SEC.

No matter how you slice it, we have a 10 yr losing streak to Bama, 5 yrs to TAMU, not to mention our abysmal recent record against Miss St.

Im old enough to remember when we were--and demanded to be -- much much better than that kind of crap.

Excuses are, and always have been, for losers

How old do you have to be to remember that because I'm going on 30 and it wasnt within my lifetime.

Miss state is the real head scratcher here. Otherwise those streaks were present before bielema ito not like we beat Tamu or Bama without him. Atleast since Tamu moved up and started getting the best of texas.

Most of which were crushed on the national scene by teams we play in conference or crushed by the other national contenders in their conference.

Tcu beat Ole miss a couple years back, Michigan state won a rose bowl, Baylor made back to back ny6 bowls (I'd be more than happy with that)

The teams you speak of don't even come close to playing the schedule that we play.

LSU, which has much more talent than us is on a 6 game losing streak of their own.

Moo St. had Dak for 4 years, watch him play in the NFL.
Also they are trending down along with Ole Piss.

aTm had Johnny and has out recruited us in Texas, When Sumlin gets fired they'll be on a downward trend.

Nutt had 4 9+ win seasons when Bama and LSU were down.

Danny Ford never won 9

The west is as hard as it's ever been.

But yup, fire fatass.
I'm sure you can come up with a long list of coaches that would jump at the chance to come here and do better.

Oklahog I'm 54. So yes, I remember better days. I have very hazy memories of WMS games back to the 65 season. I remember the Big Shootout like it was yesterday.

The programs I listed in my post should NEVER be thought of as better than Arkansas. I think the SEC affiliation has given Arkansas fans a huge inferiority complex. We've accepted average programs in FB and Basketball.

I hate that. Not enough to lose any sleep, but I hate that for us all.

other disadvantage AR has is the HS programs with all the resources are as far away as they can be from the black population in the state

Thus you have a 5* CB who cannot backpedal when he got to school for one example

One thing is for sure; we missed on a damn good RB this past class in Damarea Crockett. I really hadn't watched Mizzou play before the last two weeks but that kid is seriously good.

Fire Smith. Hire Coach O or Strong as D coordinator. Recruiting wet dream.

I personally think that what you're seeing is due to scholarship rules and media exposure of the overall sport. It's brought more room for parity from lower tier programs. It hasn't disrupted the elites much yet. But the middle class programs can expect to occasionally wind up behind inferior programs. And make no mistake we've always been pretty middle class/upper middle class.

No doubt. I'm not saying id trade Hammonds or whaley for him but why not take all 3? You can never have too many running backs I would think.

The right thing would have been to tell Kody Walker to go on and have a nice life and let medicaid take over paying for his monthly injury and signed Crockett.

Yeah as shitty as that sounds, beilama should've recognized the opportunity he had at signing crockett, hammonds, and Whaley and encouraged walker to graduate. Maybe even guarantee him a GA spot or something but let him know it's for the best that his playing days are over.

Great theory in hindsight but no one knew Crockett would be this good and no one second guessed Bielema at the time. We landed two top shelf RB's like we wanted and everyone was happy at the time.
