Each team's FPI rating is composed of predictive offensive, defensive, and special teams value, as measured by a function of expected points added (EPA). That rating is the basis for FPI's game-level and season-level projections. Like most game predictions, FPI accounts for team strength, opponent strength, and home-field advantage.

UAPB beat Arkansas Baptist 70/0 on Sat. I know, I know... they still suck... But maybe a little less, just a tad?

It could be the signature win of the season.

No silver lining, no moral victories... but we went toe to toe and should have handily beaten the 16th ranked team in the country.
Perhaps OSU is over ranked, but I still hesitate to say that they have a better team than us, except for holding on to the damn ball.

That’s a heck of a way to bounce back I reckon. Good for them.

Right now our offense is averaging 650+ yards per game, 50.5 points per game, and something like 400 passing 250 rushing yards per contest. That helps a lot in this ranking.

Our defense is averaging 19.5 points allowed and somewhere around 27 yards rushing per game on average too. Holding UAPB to 7 total yards rushing and then shutting down Ollie really put us up there in the defensive stats.

All this comes into play with FPI, but it's not a bad thing at all either. Our run defense is stout and we're putting up offensive stats that are all top 10 in the country currently, if we can just hold on to the damn ball and limit turnovers.

Just like we beat them the week before.

Somebody needs to tell the UAPB coach they won't be able to take those points in to the SWAC.

Yep, that’s pretty cool when that happens….
