So can someone explain to me the rule about signing with an agent? A friend told me they changed the rule in 2018 and a quick search through Google tells me he is right. What exactly is the nuance here? Apparently you can sign with an agent and still return? I’m sure there are caveats though.

I believe it must be an NCAA approved agent, that allows for them to return

If you want to read more about it NCAA

Perfect, thanks for the link. So I guess we are operating under the assumption Toney’s agent is not NCAA certified? Seems like if the agent or agency was, that would’ve been part of the announcement.

Correct, JD and Toney are gone unless something significant happens

Toney is a head scratcher to me.... great defensive player but doesn't seem like he has NBA game to me. Best of luck to him and I hope he lands somewhere and makes us proud.

As Muss often says; your body is your paycheck and Toney is 22 years old. He isn’t NBA but he will make 6 figures overseas. Instead of putting another year of wear on his body in college he’s doing it professionally. His stock wasn’t going to get to first round if he came back next year.

Are we not getting these guys enough arse? At 18-22 that was the biggest thing in my mind. I figure being a starting athletic basketball player would net loads of fine young co-ed arse. I would think these guys were in "hog heaven".

Any idea what the rotation will be for next season? How much could we expect the other freshman that aren’t McDonalds AA to contribute?

I doubt we see much from the freshman outside the top 3. I could see Ford getting some PT bc he is a ball handler and we won't have much of those if we don't bring in a veteran guy through the portal.

Pinion and Dunning could be the odd men out like Moore was if they don't learn the defensive scheme or show enough effort to play the D.

We badly need Jaylin Williams to come back for one more year. I suspect the NBA evaluation will tell him that's best for him also. Of course that will mean we're going to hafta watch him take 5-6 3 point shots per game, but overall...it is worth it.

The three 5 star freshmen, the three transfers and Jaylin are enough to win it all...IF they play defense like this years team did. Anthony Black impresses me the most of the freshmen from what I've seen.

A class this big will have some surprises in it. There’s a decent chance one of the 5 star guys will get lost in the mix and one of the 3/4 star guys will have an immediate impact.

I think Dunning might have a role with Toney leaving. A lot will depend on how fast these guys pick up Muss’s system

Updated some lineup options and roster outlook with recent changes.

Some interesting things:

- We will now have the option to play JWill at the 4 should he return

- With the recent transfer additions, we are now extremely deep in the front court. I initially projected Johnson and Dunning might have roles, but as of now I don't see them seeing the floor much

- I don't know who is better between Graham and Brazile. Graham seems statistically like a better scorer but he's not much of a shooter. Gets a lot of dunks.

He embarrassed a guy saying he was hitting the portal:

Looks like either Kamani or Jaxson are getting processed if Williams returns
