They could boat race Arkansas or any team if you don't have the offense to trade punches or a good defense which we don't have. They ran the ball on a solid Kentucky team and they can certainly do the same against Arkansas. That makes it harder to drop players in coverage as they could gash the defense.

They beat the Aggies on the road facing a full stadium at night. Losing Catalon hurt Arkansas tremendously against Auburn. State will sure to take advantage of Slusher.

They beat NC State, but lost to Memphis (granted thanks to horrible officiating). They’re really a hard team to get a gauge on. Not sure where to put them compared to Ole Miss and Auburn who are both 6-2.

That’s right they beat nc state and lost tocmemphis for some reason I had it backwards in my head. They beat a solid Kentucky team yesterday but Kentucky did have 4 turnovers which hurt then alot. It wasn’t like states defense just stonewalled them the entire game

We had more rushing yards than Kentucky. That isn’t supposed to happen

There were two teams on the field.

Kentucky had one of those nights...as many turnovers as they'd had all year, and not due to the State defense...several were flukes or just very fortunate ball bounces.

If we play like that...yes...State will beat us soundly. If we play inspired ala first 4 games, we'll beat them.

It is a fairly evenly matched game with us at home. Crowd needs to show up and show out...but I doubt they will since we've had our once a decade fun in Fayetteville already this year.

It's almost like they lost a huge emotional game on national television the week before and then played miss state.

Hopefully we play well this week. i think it's definitely winable

State ran the ball all game against Kentucky. Arkansas needs to get the offense going because State will probably score on every possession. Auburn has a lot better defense than State and so no excuse as of why they can't score any points to match State.

This. State has found a running game. I think Leach decided that you have to in this league.

I think they win by 2 scores. Our defense has been found out and our offense sputters too much to keep up with them in a track meet.

I’m not sure I’d say they found a run game. They just ran it a lot against Kentucky. They still only averaged like 2.9 yards per carry which is awful. It was the 92% completion percentage by Rogers that made the game impossible for Kentucky.

Perhaps running it 35 times opened all that up but my guess is that’s more of a one off perfect storm kind of thing than reality.

Yeah, Not impressed really. Didn't KY have 4 turnovers as well.

Take out 3 of those and what's the results? Looked to me like it was more of a KY implosion that an incredible game plan by MSU
