Short yardage debacles

This has been a problem dating back to the early Bert days.
Is this a problem of consistently dumbass play calling or is it just simply that we can't go man up on SEC defensive fronts when they load the box?
I would have also liked to have seen St John and Crawford get some action today against a real SEC defensive front.

It’s frustrating that we go from the gun on fourth and short and then trot out there under center on 1st and 10. They clearly practice it at some point so let’s put in a package for your massive QB to just fall forward.

There was one 4th down where KJ ran up the middle when they had six defenders in the box against 5 OL

It’s Bert and Sam both thinking we can play big boy ball. We can’t. Arkansas has always been quicker not bigger.

No he doesn’t.
This is Sam looking over and saying we need a run play on this 4th down. Which is what he has admitted to was his input on the offense. He looks over and says we need to pass or run. Doesn’t tell them what plays to call just that’s what he expects to see.

Both. We don't have the bodies and the play calling is bad at the most crucial moments.
