He Must've heard some very eye opening things behind the scenes, because I just heard him criticize fatass more in the last 10 minutes than in 5 yrs. Also page has turned on Long It seems, now he's suggesting he's open for criticism as well.
On Bert:
"He doesn't play the guy who gets 10-plus yards every time he touches the ball, so I'm done trying to figure out what Bielema is thinking"
On Long bringing back Bert:
"If the administration is not sharing that they hear the fans and value the their opinion, then that's not good"
(Paraphrasing both quotes)
His tone is also much more aggressive than defensive like he has been.
"This is the worst era in the Arkansas Football since joining the SEC
No way Mattingly would jump off a gravy train of access...seems the press conference lost him

I would say the fact that Long hasn’t come out and supported Bielema publicly means he has heard the fans.

Need more sound bites for out of staters.
What else?
What was the press conference like? Ho Hum, should have gotten Hammonds the ball earlier in the year etc?
Learning opportunities. Teaching moments. Great win for the guys?

In perhaps the most bizarre exchange I've heard at a recent press conference, they played a hit from today where the reporters asked about the QB situation.
Bert was pissed and said he addressed it Saturday (said Allen is 100% healthy and they'll play whoever gives them the best chance to win.
In a very terse tone he said he wasn't in the business of giving away game plans to opponents. Also alluded to questions about Hammonds being the same thing. Won't give away details to opponents.
Later, Bert let slip that Kelley was going to be playing in front of his hometown area crowd at LSU and he was pumped.
Reporter then said, "so Kelly is the starting QB."
Bert fumbled and stumbled a bit and said he meant Cole would POSSIBLY be playing if in front of home town crowd if he were named starter.
He then went on to say that Austin Allen could also be the starter, but may be rusty.
....
It was just incredible...

So I guess season 2 of Being Bret Bielema is delayed?

He’s been doing this Austin Allen might play routine for about three weeks now.
His words mean nothing until Austin takes the field.

Austin doesn't want to play.

They've meant nothing since he got here. He's lied every spring about the team

I listened on the way back to town today. He is definitely getting off of the wagon.
He gave CBB an opportunity for a huge soundbyte Saturday that if handled correctly, would have helped the coach.. He was defensive in stead.

This is the truth and I don't blame him.
As far as Bo on Bielema, Bo has been off the train for awhile now. People just haven't been listening.
Two weeks ago he was openly laughing at the dumb shite Bielema was feeding people. It's just that now we have reached a tipping point where it is borderline absurd to support him. So now, at this point, the media may hop in on the gang tackle without fear of retribution from their listening audience.
It isn't rocket science. It's typical media relations shite.
But Bo has been critical of this team and coach all year. People just didn't wanna hear it because Bo wasn't outright calling the guy a bum

Can you elaborate?
Value your info and opinion despite disagreeing on almost everything.

Heard that in the presser, Bert stepped right in that pile of dung.
He's such an elitist.

Jus Kid'n
Something like, "Is there anything you would like to say to the fans that are upset about the season" not a direct quote...
To which he responded with something like "We keep the outside out of the locker room, we don't let that stuff in"
He could have pulled an Odom at Missouri where he wound up winning over much of the fan base with his answer. But instead he made it a "Us against Them" scenario where the fans are the outsiders. Stupid PR really.
By the tone of that PC, he knows he is in deep crap...

Yeah, he knows he gone

Its like one of those slow motion car wrecks on an icy road... you can see it coming just as sure and certain as the turning of the Earth... but there isn't anything you can do about it.
Bielema is done here.
