What a worthless frick. We pay this guy millions of dollars and he can't keep from accidently saying who the starting QB is minutes after being coy about it?
What a buffoon

Lsu doesn't give a frick who plays QB for us. They're going in dry
Also Bert, Austin Allen doesn't have "a chance to play football after this". Quit saying that. He can't even play over a freshman in a trash season

This is true. Arkansas won't stop LSUs running game. I think I could trot out there in a yellow jersey this weekend and run a few in against our defense.
The part about Allen is off though. He will play in the NFL just like his brother did. I'd be willing to wager on it.

LOL.
Has his brother even played yet?

He might finally be off the train, but he has been a major part of the problem the last two years of keeping ignorant fans on the bandwagon bc of his ties to Bert and the show instead of being realistic about how shitty we were gonna be this year.
The writing was on the wall, if you thought we were gonna be good this season you were only lying to yourself

I would say the fact that Long hasn’t come out and supported Bielema publicly means he has heard the fans.
This is continuously overlooked but VERY important.
The guy asked for advice from the PR department on answering a question about Bielema's future, pretty obvious Long is on board with the fans' feelings. He's asking for advice because he wants to answer in a way that supports the coach, program, and players in the short term but also lets the fans know that he's not cool with what's going on and hears them.

Isn't he still playing in the NFL?
I mean, he isn't playing playing, but he's drawing a check. Something only 1% of collegiate players ever do. And Austin will too.
Wanting someone benched who ends up on an NFL roster just embodies the idiocy of our fanbase.

This makes sense, Long has been very quiet this season.

Austin Allen will never play in a regular season NFL game.
He will almost certainly never be on a regular season roster.
He will not be drafted. He isn't in the top 30 of quarterbacks this year. Hell he is the 3rd best QB with the last name Allen in the 2018 QB draft class!!
I'm sorry, I don't blame the guy. He had a helluva year last year, and I appreciate him for taking those hits. But he isn't an NFL QB. Especially if he misses 3/4 of his senior year with a shady injury

We'll see. Most folks said the same of his brother.
And Drew Morgan.

Dude neither have even suited up.
If you're making a bold call that he makes a practice squad or takes some pre-season snaps. Alright.
Like 400 guys do that every year. It's not saying a lot these days.

Brandon is 10x the leader and qb his brother is.
Brandon will also be a back up in the NFL for a long time. There is only 32 starting qb's. 32. 21 less than a full NFL team.

Holding a clipboard isn't "playing football after this"
Making a practice squad sure as hell isn't "playing football after this"
Do you have any stronger examples you could go to? I feel like you are making my argument for me

He Must've heard some very eye opening things behind the scene
Or maybe he just used his open eyes to watch the Coastal Carolina game. If that wasn't enough to convince someone Bert will not get it done after the piling of previous games and seasons, then that person has no emotional attachment to this football program.

Meh, Bo has burned a lot of calories beating around the bush this season when it comes to Bert. I don’t necessarily blame him, since his access has been a veritable gravy train, and he didn’t want to compromise that until the end was in sight and the point became moot.
As it relates(d) to Bert, Bo and Irwin talk quite a bit without saying anything. I heard them go around and around a few weeks ago and I couldn’t make heads or tails of what the hell they were really arguing for or against.
I can’t really give him credit for being the last horse to cross the finish line.

League minimum for a Year 2 roster player, or someone holding a clipboard, is $540,000 this season. Weekly salary for a practice squad guy is $7,200 in 2017.
He might not be "playing football," but he is still
