and go hire someone from the state of Texas who won't do any better.
Except he already has at two lesser programs. I find it hilarious that you'll gnash and wail over defending Mike but you'll completely discredit a coach that hit a higher point than Mike ever has here in 2 years at a wasteland of a basketball program.

He's good. No doubt. I've never said otherwise.

Right and I never have tried to infer you think he isn't good but it is clear that you are downplaying him after this one game.

To put it this way, would you say Beard is a better coach than Anderson right now? I don't think you would, which is an issue.

I would say that this season he has a team that appears to be on nearly equal footing as Mike Anderson's team.

They have the same high water mark in the NCAA Tournament. It's hard to say who is a better coach. There are many variables that go into such assessments.

I would pose a question to you as well. Do you think that the Missouri basketball job is a better job than the Arkansas job?

I see this as an issue, you are most likely using the one game sample size for this argument. I don't know how else you could try to make an argument like this. One game sample sizes are terrible to use, when we are trying to compare coaches over a 3-5 year span.

Sure and all those variables have added up to Beard having more success. Would you say the Tech job is better than the Arkansas job?

I already asked this question to people at the start of the season. No, I don't and I know what you are trying to say. I think Mike could have the same type of peak if you gave him long enough time but the issue is we would have to deal with some very average seasons before we got there. He has also made the argument harder to disagree with which is sad for my sake at the start of the year.
