I think Macon is gone...

I hope not, but I just watched the PC with CMA, Macon, Moses, and Manny.

Macon was not wanting to be there at all, body language and disinterest.

And then the above stuff.. Hope the dude comes back

You guys read into shite a little too much, Macon was pissed and upset they lost, the first question was to him and asked him about his cramps and not being able to be on the floor to help his team when they needed him most.

He looked to me like he took the loss the hardest of any player or staff member on the team, I didn't get what you got from that presser at all.

This dude ain't leaving like that.

the thing that roy williams does better than anyone else in the country is recruit good talent that will stay 4 years.

people think oh UNC they have all these mc donalds all americans. i mean, tehy have some, but their recruiting classes really aren't a hell of a lot more different t han ours. shite t hey have a 2 star logging major minutes.

but he zeros in on players lke justin jackson who while
a 5 star doesn't have one and done type game. joel barry's height an his push shot will prevent him from ever getting a legit nba shot. and they dont' leave because they have babies tehy have to support etc.

the key is getting good players, to stay.

this next 2 months is the biggest in mikes career. he HAS to convince macon and barford to stay. portis was gone and i dont' blame him and it was the right decision because he was an nba talent. macon and barford aren't there yet and should not go.

Macon was probably just repeating what he was advised with the "no comment" thing. I doubt he's made a decision. His heart was obviously fully with the team as of last night.

But yeah we really need to get AT LEAST Barford or Macon back. If I had to choose one it would be Macon. We need him at PG.

Our bench outscored our starters.

Both games in the tourney were strange with who stepped up and scored- Thomas was big the first game.

I woke up more disappointed than I was right after the game.

You would think they would come back. They are in no way NBA ready.

If Barfords tweet is to be believed, he'll be back next year.

Pretty brutal but knew that was coming.

Feel it for Macon as he stepped up big.

Need both of them back. Man, I had a feeling we'd play well but once I saw them in the bonus and after that BS charge, I knew we were toast.

UNC is a heck of a team too. We had to close the last 2 minutes perfectly to win that one. Super proud how they played all second half. Didn't back down an inch after the first 10 minutes.

Just imagine if Bobby Portis hadn't jumped to the NBA

Moses and Portis down low.

The Tardheels would be back home thinking about next year and I'd be partying on Beale St.

I must be a bigger fan of Moses' game than most on here.

I think he's a huge loss and it's not going to be made up by any one freshman.

Maybe I'm also underestimating the impact the other signees can have as freshmen, but I think Kingsley has NBA talent and I think we have a better than 50% chance of being less successful next year whether Macon and Barford both stay or not.

I see 2019 and 2020 as our first opportunity to do something big like make a Sweet Sixteen.

shite we wouldn't have been playing UNC in the second round if Portis was still here. We'd be in contention for the whole thing that scenario. What could have been.

i don't think it's so much you are over valuing moses as much as you are under valuing trey thompson. thompson has a much better face up game than moses, his 10-15ft jumper is butter, he's a much better passer, has a much higher BB IQ, doesn't take stupid fricking shots for no reason and his girth presents a problem for opposing players.

thompson should have been starting in place of moses for the last third of the regular season honestly.

Gafford/Thompson/Cook/Bailey/Thomas will have us stronger inside come tournament time next year than we were this year imo.

Add in 6'6" Garland and 6'6" Hall likely also on the 2nd rotation off the bench and I just don't see how we won't be quite a bit better next year.

I wouldn't put it near 50/50 that we'll be worse next year, not even close (with Macon).

I really really like the possibilities for all the different roster combinations we will be able to put on the floor next year, from smaller quicker lineups to longer more athletic lineups with the 6'6"+ new guys. We can go small or we can go big and throw a lot at you defensively, and the team this year got where they were because of the improvement on defense.

And you can never underestimate experience in sports and we'll have

Thomas - senior
Beard - senior
Barford - senior
Macon - senior
Thompson - senior
Cook - senior
