I mean, she's gonna be wishing in one and shitting in the other is she thinks there are big time jobs on the Carolina coast.

What is she going to do? Hold out for East Carolina to get the call to the SEC?

Wait for Miami to open in 9 yrs?

Gainesville to open next year at the same time we have a job opening apparently

Dan Lanning would probably be the #1 target for Florida.

Depends on if Florida fires him at the same time as us.

I think a lot of fans will do likewise. It's one thing to see progress, even if we lose.

However, knowing we'll lose in the same frustrating ways every week makes it pointless to waste my time and money.

I think if the stands are half empty at that Mississippi State game, it will be a long two weeks. If it comes out he is done at the end of the year, it there will be full stands again at the Auburn game.

Everyone supports the team, no one supports the coach.

If you believe this, you are naive man. These "kids" some of them are paid more than most fans make in a years time. Between benefits, NIL, scholly, etal.

Now, we support the team more than a coach in certain situations... But let me be clear, pittman leaves, so will a bunch of our players. It is a business now, period

Seems pretty likely that the stands will be empty after a 5 game losing streak

these two statements contradict themselves. If it’s a business and we’re paying guys big money why would they leave just because the coach leaves? Btw if some of these guys leave we wouldn’t be that bad off. If we’re already losing with you what does it matter if you leave?

In most businesses, agreed... However this is a new way of doing business. Catalon anyone? Get em that Nil, Take away their coaches... and they are off to more nil elsewhere

Okay but I stand by my other statement. Most of the talented players are already seniors. What young guy would we hurt to lost to the portal other than hasz and sategna? Maybe Paul and crook but they don’t seem to be making that much of an impact anyway

Out of the freshmen I’d like to still hold on to Braxton, Spence, Rhodes, Singleton, Augustave and the two freshmen WRs. I think that’s about it. Maybe Metcalf can develop into a decent player.

Which is why BMFP as an OC would have been even better, stable ship. Named him as coach in waiting and been done with it. Now we have to hope we got a recruiter like Lanning or Elko.

There is only one candidate if we make the move. Lanning is the only one. He should be the start and finish of the search. He only makes like $800,000 more than Pittman.

It’s the $20M buyout, that will scare people away.

$17.5M or $10.5M depending on who you asked to get rid of Pittman, then $20M to buy him.

I’d go for it, but not my money. Set his buyout to the full original contract for any program trying to get him, but not on our end. And do 5 for $40M? Then put incentives on top of it.

Obviously I’m not surprised given the collective IQ of our fan base but JFC Dan Lanning is not coming here.

He’s the HC at Oregon. OREGON. He’s going to be in line for a playoff berth every single year there.

We’re a bottom 50 program in the FBS. Get a grip.

Ok, cool. What would we do without the sophisticated, high IQ types like you to keep us plebes in line?

Clearly continue to pipe dream and embarrass the rest of us.

Why stop at Lanning?! Screw it, let’s go after Kirby. After all, NWA is a great place to live!

Hell I hear Mike McDaniel is tired of the NFL and doesn’t like living in Miami. Too much city and ocean.

He is going to be going to Piscataway and then Happy Valley on back to back weekend in November starting next year.

Do I think we will get him? Probably not, but not because he wouldn’t come, it will be because we cheap out.
