I'm gonna say the smart move would be to cut off the upper deck and sell it as scrap. No way that place is ever close to capacity again.

We should covert it to a baseball practice facility

Scrapping it would be dumb. I'd much rather convert it into the world's first zip line jousting arena.

Maybe that's the next thread we start to avoid talking about football....offer a prize for the best use of the football stadium after they start playing games at Fayetteville HS again.

It would make a pretty badass paintball arena by day, lazer tag arena by night too, including the bleachers, concessions, and locker rooms. We can also use the concourse as a go-kart track. That would make the big bucks.

We can always get a men's soccer team and convert DWRRS into Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Futbol Pitch

It should be used to house Blues, Bikes, and BBQ every year.

Really sucks. If that had plan had been put into action around 09, there would have been 80k+ rabid hog fans packed for those Petrino years.

I don't think there's any doubt the state could fill it up, it's just getting the program to a point where people actually will spend money to see them play. I sure as hell won't right now.

I think so as soon as we get our heads out of our asses, but I will say about 75k is as big as it needs to go. With our state's population and Fayetteville not being very central, combined with the falling attendence of football across the board, I'd say all those 100k+ stadiums are going to end up looking a lot worse than ours.

But I have a feeling it's going to be mostly visiting fans for some time until the university decides to put a premium on winning once again.

Maybe not in football.

But possibly in soccer or perhaps as a music concert venue.

Make a few light renovations and we’d have a great home for an MLS team

I don't understand why they haven't brought in GnR, The Eagles, Elton John, Celine,

Not because I like all of those, but because they sell out stadiums. Paul McCartney, etc. The amount of $$$$….

But....

Can public universities do this? I would sell combination tickets to football games and concerts. 12 major concerts a year. Just charge for facility usage for the concert, sell out every game.
