I look back at folks like Iowa with Ferentz, Clemson with Dabo, among others and think we need to settle down a bit with this idea of replacing Sam so quickly

Pittman needs to take a page out of Dabo’s book and replace his coordinators to shake things up and make progress.

Dabo was under considerable pressure after his third season in which they went 6-7. He brought in Morris (who sucked arse as a head coach, but he did modernize Clemson’s offense) and then Venables the next year.

If I had to pick one coordinator to ax it’s Odom. His defense is horrendous, his adjustments are nonexistent, and he brings little to nothing to the table in terms of recruiting.

Briles pisses me off at times, but I do think a lot of our offensive issues this year are due to KJ’s limitations. Briles’ offense can be effective with a decent QB.

I have to agree with you and I also agree it needs to be Odom. Even last year, when our defense was better, we still had games where we completely collapsed on defense.

I know Pittman and Odom are good friends and firing your buddy is a pretty lousy thing to do. Still Pittboss and Yurachek need to start dropping hints that Odom might want to look into other job opportunities.

He did that but the biggest thing he did was change the emphasis on recruiting, I believe.

It really is, that's why I bookmarked it and saved it for the right time.

I was called an idiot for calling out Boogie for melting then he said the following.

If you're not concerned then you're either trolling or a moron.

Football is done for at least another decade.

Now were ranked in the top 10 for the second time in two years.

Where are we now?

I think some people owe boogie some apologies.

Hi guys. Based on the threads I've seen lately this is what should happen but won't because we're too scared to make a move.

It would be fricking stupid to fire him. That's why we aren't doing it. People are concerned as they should be. If next year is disappointing then you move on. A lot will happen in the next month. He makes a few good hires, gets the current class to campus, wins the crap bowl and does well in the portal and it won't seem so bad.

He shits the bed in the portal, loses the bowl game and several recruits and hires shitty replacements for leaving coaches then I'll say I was wrong and he should have been fired.

We can be really good next year. The people predicting a 4-8 Bert season are just suffering from BHS (Beaten Hog Syndrome).

BHS (Beaten Hog Syndrome).

This is real. It's a defense mechanism. Hope is a terrible thing if you love Razorback football. Just when we were ready to accept 6-6 with maybe a 8-4 magical season and a shitty bowl win, we were given hope and hype. A top ten ranking, talking heads giving us props and a heisman hopeful QB. Just as sure as death and taxes...we get kicked in the Nutts again. We try to be negative. we try not to buy in. But just like Charlie Brown, we try to kick the shite out of the championship football just to have shitty coaches and soft, heartless players pull it away.

It's happened before, it's happening now and it will happen again. Petrino was the worst thing that could happen. He showed us what could be and gave us hope.

Let's face it. Razorback football has been shite, minus a few years, since the late 80's. Petrino left us ranked 5th in the country with a chance to play for a national championship going into the LSU game his last two years. We had what most considered his best team coming back. At any other school, he transgressions would've been kept secret to protect all involved, but the PTB pulled that football at the last second. Now we find ourselves a decade later, flat on our asses looking up at the sky and cursing them again. When will we learn?
