The Comp Cams Topless 100 is a Rainout
The crown jewel of the Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove) scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled because of the severe weather. From the track’s website: LINK
“BATESVILLE, ARK. (AUGUST 15, 2018) - THE 26TH ANNUAL COMP CAMS TOPLESS 100 PRESENTED BY NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS - SET FOR THIS WEEKEND AT BATESVILLE MOTOR SPEEDWAY HAS BEEN POSTPONED.
WITH THE FORECAST FOR CONTINUED RAIN THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND ON AN ALREADY HEAVILY SATURATED TRACK AND FACILITY, SPEEDWAY AND SERIES OFFICIALS HAVE BEEN FORCED TO POSTPONE THE EVENT.
BATESVILLE MOTOR SPEEDWAY, LUCAS OIL LATE MODEL DIRT SERIES, AND COMP CAMS SUPER DIRT SERIES OFFICIALS ARE WORKING TO FIND A SUITABLE NEW DATE FOR THE CROWN JEWEL EVENT IF POSSIBLE.”

Smart move. He had a ton of tickets that were supposed to be good for this year after last years rain out.
He would have lost his tail.
I don’t know what it did in locust grove last night but we got 4.5 inches up here according to the rain gauge.

This seems to be the case more often than not.
I really wish they would move the date of this race either up or later in the year. It always seems to rain and its always the weekend before school starts on Monday. Just a terrible time.
