It doesn't matter as long as the decision makers continue to be Texas First.

15 years and a one in a generation player since that strategy worked.

Not asking who you think will be hired but asking who you think should be on that list?

What narrative dale? What in the frick are you even talking about? You said that mike leach loses to fcs school and therefore doesn’t need to coach us and I asked to show me his fcs record and then you just started babbling nonsense now since then rockiee has posted since then that mike leach has lost 2 fcs games in his 17 year head coaching career. Which means the man has more top 10 wins than fcs losses in which case yes I will take him

Arkansas has lost once to FCS competition, a loss that was a fire-able offense.

Leach has lost to 2 FCS opponents and it wasn't in years 1 and 2 of a complete rebuild.

How many times has Leach finished ranked in the top 10?

The names aren't any different than what has been thrown around, the order of importance is, however.

Arkansas did a good job in hiring Muss who is in tune with the modern era of Basketball recruiting/roster management. He plays the transfer game and is proving he knows when to focus on HS recruiting instead of relying on transfers. He is flexible and adaptive to the environment in the given year for sourcing players to fill his roster. He also seems to understand the inward out concept for Arkansas, you must start with what is available in state then go out to get the best you can to fulfill other needs.

Basketball is a very dirty game in recruiting, you aren't going to land 100% of the instate talent. You may not want some of the instate guys and they may not want Arkansas (until their pro aspirations flame out and they are looking to make money without doing real work).

Football isn't any different, we need a HC who is flexible and will adapt in any given year. Playing the transfer game isn't a bad idea, it fixed SMU's roster problems both by ridding themselves of a QB for a better QB and fixing the line problems, something that will need to be addressed here.

It isn't a given that an instate guy will commit with minimum effort, but you need to sign every SEC level player from instate possible every year, then go to the southeast, Texas and Oklahoma to fill out the spots, not go to Texas followed by Texas and more Texas and wonder why the instate guy you passed over for a Texas kid is blowing up elsewhere while the Texas roster is soft and not competitive in the SEC.

Name the years that leach lost to an fcs school and tell me what he did the year before and after that? And if you wouldn’t mind let me know what his record finished as those years

Sure, just as soon as you tell me how many times Leach has finished ranked in the top 10 and the number of times he has won his conference.

You are the Leach expert after all.

Leach has never won his conference. So same as Arkansas in the sec. leach has finished in the top 10 2 or 3 times in his career has won 11 games twice and has been named conference coach of the year 3 times. Now tell me what I asked you for and stop crawfishing like morris

Leach has never won his conference.

He did have a top 10 finish last season though.

In 10 years at Texas Tech he never had a losing record.

In 7 full years at Washington State he's had 3 losing records (his first 3 seasons). He's in danger of finishing with a losing record this year.

He's 58 years old and unfortunately defense is not something his teams are known for. Everyone will mention Dave Aranda.. but Dave was a GA for Mike for 2 years.

To be fair his second season there he still made a bowl game at 6-6 he just lost the bowl. Do I think mike will come here and win a conference championship in 3 years? No. Do I think we will win games and be competitive? Absolutely. If mike leach comes here we will be much better off after he leaves believe that

He would be an ok bridge hire. I would just rather we get someone young enough to hang around for 10 or 12 years if they're successful.

We've had 3 coaches in the history of Razorback football to last 8 seasons.

Fred Thomsen, Frank Broyles and Houston Nutt.

Kentucky and TTU were both left in shambles and disarray after Mumme was fired for cheating and Leach was fired for player abuse.

When asked for a specific statistic "or" has no place in the answer.

So Leach has never won a conference, loses to FCS opponents more often than he finishes in the top ten, but consistently hovers around 6-7 wins.

If that is what the university wants, lower tier bowl games, lots of passing the ball with concern for little else, hire him cheap and move funding over the basketball program. Make Arkansas a basketball school, the Kentucky of the SEC West. I'm on board, but the influential donors are football guys so that is going to be a hard sell.

Plus every white WR signed can legitimately be compared to a Wes Welker.

Now.. if you're going to be fair.

Leach season wins distribution - 17 years:

11 Wins - 2
9 Wins - 5
8 Wins - 5
7 Wins - 2
6 Wins - 1
3 Wins - 2

If we throw out the 3 and 11 as outliers.. we're left with a Median at 8 wins and a mean at 8.08 wins.

If we include the outliers the median is still 8 and the mean is 7.82 wins.

So he's a passing version of Houston Nutt with a pirate fetish instead of olde-timey preacher vibe and FCS losses on his resume.

Its fine for him to be on the list, but he shouldn't be at the top of the list.

He doesn’t wanna be fair he just wants to troll and argue. That’s why he’s went as far as to quote leach’s “player abuse” which has now widely been accepted as a. Farce manifested by the pos James family

As I said, I think he’d be a great hire.
