Yes let's listen to the homer SMU professor about their 30K dump stadium.

It’s in the richest area of one of the richest cities of the richest state in America. I’m pretty sure it’s not a fricking dump and I’ve never been there. Just basic context clues can tell you that.

Is it SEC worthy? Probably not.

Is it twice the stadium of War Memorial undoubtedly.

Have cost us every single score game.

But nothing has cost us more than Good Guy Sam being a pussy and calling off the dogs at halftime and losing.

Still pretty insulting to compare it to WMS even at double. WMS needed to be demolished and someone just accidently forgot it seems.

Didn't Biddy just come out and say, that barring a loss to LaTech, he expects Pittman to be back next year?

This is absolute insanity....

If he wins out then why not?

If loses out then he won't be back.

6-6? They won't fire him over low expectations.

No, it's really not... Look, i was for Sam being gone last season, but I get the reasoning why not doing so this year.

THe new court ordered "revenue sharing" thing is going to be interesting. We may own some major back pay to those who filed suit, or do so in the future. between paying pittman 12 mil, his assistants their buyouts, and revenue sharing back pay, etal....

Dude, look at Florida even, among others. We are definitely in unprecedented times. Plus I yearn for BP's 2nd season results.

We shall see...

That's what I expected. We're not improving several wins and spending all that money on him this year. We hold out a year and see what happens.

and it goes back to us being broke I guess. Because other schools hire and fire constantly like A&M Auburn and lsu, and they don’t seem to be worried about this new court order, or NIL. The coffers for some schools always seem to be full when it’s nutt cutting time.

You do seem a bit obtuse at time... Your examples are NOT This year.. as the court appointed revenue sharing, and possible settlements are not completed as of yet, and we are currently wading those muddy waters. See Florida keeping their coach as an example. Several others would have been let go by now, imho...

Napier hasn’t done that bad a job. They had a brutal schedule. The only horrible loss was Miami week 1. Sort of like Pittman with ole miss. I’m not on the fire Pittman wagon. I’m on the indifference wagon. Fire him? Ok but if we do we need a slam dunk lined up because while I realize he’s never going to be great, he’s not terrible either. He’s just average. 6-6/7-5 type coach. Honestly very similar to stoops at Kentucky imo.

I agree with you.

My problem is that I do not see us, every spending 10-15 million a year to win in football. I just don't.

No matter the coach, it is a very difficult environment to win without that investment. Sure, some coaches could do better than Pittman without it, but at first success... they would be idiots not to leave to where the $$$ for NIL is there.

I would rather give Pittman with his current staff a decent Nil package and see what they could do so that we wouldn't have blue light specials against... etal

Yeah I guess the only place where we differ is I think if we got a good coach, the money would show up. Kind of like ole miss and Kiffin. No one thought ole miss had to be capability to spend with the big boys either, then 3 good seasons and 2 new years 6 bowls later and voila, they have one of the best NIL packages in the sec.

Uhhh, Since when? OM has always spent major money under the table periodically...

Mr. Freeze is just one example, there are others. Wasn't legal, but it was always there for a short period of time.

OM's money is mostly from crowd funding.

This strategy works out for a state that is ranked last or next to last in every category of the states. This inferiority complex of the Mississippians works out when tieing emotional self worth to college football it turns out.
