I'm rooting hard for him and while he probably won't be drafted, he would put up big numbers in the CFL.

The only copium I have all leads to getting rid of Pittman. His coaching cost us OkSt, aTm, and not playing at night cost us Texas. Those 3 losses are all oh coaching.

I'm not seeing where Green is an upgrade over Jefferson.
Bro KJ got benched for a freshman on a 4-5 team this year. There's really no discussion to be had here.

Frustrating as he is, at least Green has taken care of business in all the games we were supposed to win.

And as much as I'd like to see Singleton, he'd probably regress to the mean as well with comparable snaps. Who even knows what his durability is like at his size over the course of a season.

Sitting here challenging Petrino's opinion on 2 QBs he watches every day seems pretty silly and he doesn't strike me as a guy that would play favorites over winning.

Willing to give him another year in the system and hopefully a better line.

Also tough for me to truly judge a guy playing behind a garbage o-line with pretty lacking WR/Playmaker talent. We've got 2 guys that can reliably catch the ball, one of which hardly plays and a short fast guy that has been a liability with ball security his whole career.

They are both mediocre players that make bad decisions.

Arkansas needs to keep him until they get better players on the OL. No need to have any other QB get destroyed behind that line.

The real question is why did we stick with Green when Singleton seems to be the future and won us the best win we got this year.

If Singleton was better then he would be the starter.

ESPN could be wrong but they don't show Sategna as having a fumble in his career. I'm sure it's happened but don't remember one that stands out except for the ones this year where his own guy has plowed into him lol

The $750,000 question.

Gotta knock Bobby for this. He's playing favorites.

As far as certain WR's not getting touches, a lot of that has to do with Green not being very good at spreading the ball around. There are A TON of plays where he locks in on Armstrong and his eyes never move away. It's no accident that when Singleton came in against Ole Miss, you started hearing the other names more.

TeSlaa and Hasz had a combined 8 catches for 142 yards against Ole Miss. Against Texas they had 3 catches for 18 yards. Armstrong had 6 catches in both games. That's not a coincidence.

Not necessarily. I think it’s probably more about who is the leader of the team, and not wanting to divide the team.

When you only go for the first guy, or hold on to the ball until you get sacked, you’re gonna have a bad time.

So when he asks for that or more next year, we say you should probably look else where. Then we look dumb when he goes to a team with a better line and number 1 receiver. But really he isn’t able to do progressions.

If Petrino thought Singleton was so good then why did he bother getting Green from the portal?

Who said Petrino thought Singleton was good? This doesn't even make any sense. What was he supposed to judge Singleton on before he got here? If anything it's the opposite. He clearly wants to ride with Green for better or worse. These are just observations from the playing time Singleton has gotten. He's run the offense better than Green has in the opportunities he's been given. That's just the truth of the matter and it's making Petrino's staunch commitment to Green look weird.

He is supposed to be the QB guru and so he must have known enough about Singleton to not name him the starter before the season began.

Yet it hasn't played out that way. Green wasn't a good QB at Boise State. The whole caveat to this situation was Bobby developing Green into a better QB with time, but that's not happening right now. Green's improvement has slowed while Singleton has done nothing but succeed when he gets to play. That's the whole reason we're even having this type of discussion.

Singleton was 11 of 14 for 207 yards and a TD and rushed for 44 yards and a TD on 8 attempts including sack yards in less than a half against Ole Miss.

He very clearly outplayed Green.

He played Casey Dick his whole first year when he first came here.

I think it’s a move to not divide the locker room. Green was given it early so there wouldn’t be dissension. Would have a guy to rally behind. Everyone for the last few years has talked about locker room cliques. I bet this was a move to stop those from forming. His teams were always on the same page, and we haven’t heard anything different this time. Even if the same page was we hate Bobby because he is a dickhead us vs him thing.

I think Green could walk in the off season and will be a he wanted more money thing, but it was really Singleton beat him out, just like the Boise qb beat him out.

Except he didn’t. Nathan Dick started the last 2 games (MSU and LSU) because Casey was terrible in the South Carolina game. Casey was re-inserted in the LSU game after Nathan struggled.
