Johnelle was able to win two games leading to the reasonable and logical thought that the basement for conference wins was 2 games in the SEC since Lines, Ford, Nutt, Petrino were all able to reach that no matter how shitty the year was.
Kines beat tenner and LSU the year they opened with a loss to the citidel. Ford won 2 when the lost to SMU, Nutt was able to during the two year pass, petrino while playing the most freshman in the country.
Then Bert came and shattered the glass basement allowing Morris to try to go back to back with the 0fer feat.
In basketball, stan's failures allowed a guy like pelphry to be tolerated as long as he was.

Stan couldn’t coach a team to get past half court bringing the ball up against token pressure. It was ridiculous.
At least Pelphrey could do that, but he sure wasn’t the answer. Damn that was a bad era we endured until muss got here.

Actually, Lunney Jr beat Mizzou in Little Rock.
We lost to Mizzou 24-14 in Little Rock in 2019.
Lunney is 0-2 as a head coach.

Sam Pittman now has more SEC wins than John L Smith, Bret Bielema, Chad Morris, and Barry Lunney Jr at Arkansas.
Combined.
So does Danny Ford (who has 2 more SEC wins than Pittman).
That stat/tweet isn’t exactly the victory lap some are making it out to be.

I see more and more fans forgetting about Bert’s failures. I don’t care if he has Illinois loooking pretty good, his ability wasn’t the question. He was a lazy fat drunk while he was here. Not that there’s anything wrong with that

Lest we not forget that all these losers were hired by the same administration that hired a coach with ZERO HC experience.
This program is so broken, it's sad.

Different admins.
JLS and Bert are Long’s hires.
Morris was hired by the boosters after they staged a coup against Long and sold out for Gus, only to get pantsed by him. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you that Julie Cromer-Peoples hired Morris (looking at you Wally and Mike Irwin) — she had as much say in that hire as I did.

It's a stat to say, see we are soooo much better off than we were before.
It's selling keeping Pitt another year, which for most would depend on his ability to keep the entire staff in place.

Bert was close having back to back 0-8 SEC seasons in his first two seasons.

For the most part, same group of boosters.
Same boosters that want keep playing in tWardump.
Tysons nil agreement with the basketball hire was definitely an anomaly for the University.
Hopefully some booster(s) will step up like Tyson did and tell the boosters and admin to pound sand and support a competitive football program.

Bert had a knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

But why? You know that I am being a bit facetious with this post.. However, Ole Miss spent the most ever, and will be out of a 12 team playoff soon. What did all of that money get them?
Folks want Pittman gone for multiple reasons, but his hands are tied with the NIL as will most others. Buying the team doesn't guarantee any results whatsoever. What are we, like 12th-13th in NIL in the SEC... And where will we end the season in the pecking order.
It is ridiculous how quick we are to spend other people's money on nothing guaranteed. Mizzou, spent a ton on NIL this season. They too will not be playoff bound. I find it hilarious honestly. Tenner? Ahem....

I don’t blame Pittman for NIL one bit.
I blame our performative clown of an AD who took a mulligan on it the first few years of its existence, actively lobbied Congress against it, and has made profoundly stupid comments publicly disparaging it.

More important than NIL is developing relationships & developing talent IMO
A large percentage of coaching is relationships
Spending more NIL improves the odds of success, but there are more important factors that increase those odds even more. Without the relationship factor it’s 100% mercenary mentality and lack of effort is shown. Pittman is great at relationships, now if only our NIL would catch up.
The problem is fans won’t increase NIL until wins increase and more wins are handicapped by lack of NIL.

No. Does it help yes, but these are bag chasers wanting family life changing money.

Never in my OP did I say anything about Arkansas getting to the 12 team playoff spot
Look back at history Rev, can we just average 7-8 wins maybe a 10 win team occasionally and not be a blazing dumpster fire?
Of course we can with the right coach and nil funds.
But yet, Yurachek talked down the nil kept Pittman and here we are.
