I said this when we started to fall apart in May, but if you look back at the Ole Miss series in the regular season, it was much closer than people remember. We won the series in the rubber match but they were two swings away from sweeping us.
Diggs had his walkoff in game 2, and they had Tygart on the ropes in the 9th in game 3 and were an Elko hit away from tying or winning it.

So tough watching this.
All we had to do is have a pitcher that could keep things manageable. Didn't need them to be perfect.
But nope, we had to roll out 4 guys, and not a single one of them could step up for the team. Damn shame.

They finally got away from it in the postseason. Even when they were down in Stillwater, they worked deep counts and made them make pitches. Did the same thing all weekend in Chapel Hill too. But now we’re behind the 8 ball and it’s game 3 vs NC State all over again
