So much for controlling our own destiny tomorrow. National seed likely gone... 100% gone with a A&M win tomorrow, regardless of what we do. Very slight chance if we still win the west.

By far the most frustrating team since the Stanek team that couldn't hit or field but could pitch their arse off.

This team is no different than rest of the teams in the SEC except Tennessee. A lot of mediocre teams.

We will be lucky if we make it out of our own regional, much less winning a Super.

This year we have consistently played down to our level of competition. We don’t blow anyone out, we don’t jump out ahead of teams, and we don’t crockpot them and run away with it.

We’re consistently in dogfights to the point where we always have to bring in Tygart in at least the 8th inning, and often the 7th because we seemingly can’t get more than a one run lead on anyone anymore.

This is the same bullshite this team did last year down the stretch, when we started seeing Kopps get stretched further and further with 8+ out saves because we knew our offense was MIA after the 6th inning.

But is this team really playing down to competition when they aren't that more talented or at all? I watched other SEC teams to compare and this Arkansas team seems down from the good Arkansas teams recently.

Yeah sucks our ace has fallen apart too.

But honestly, Noland has thrown 18 and 14 innings the last 2 years so it's not hard to imagine his arm fading late now over 80 innings.

I said this last weekend and got crucified for it. Noland looks like he’s tired because his arm hadn’t thrown a significant number of innings since 2019.

Granted, he seems to be getting constantly hung out to dry by his offense because he’s getting zero run support, but he’s hanging pitches.

The second time around the order seems to be his Achilles heel, and Bama teed off in his last two innings.

I mean, we returned much of the lineup from a team that was #1 in the country for most of the season, including the best middle infield in the country in Battles and Moore, Slavens, an All-American in Wallace, Webb, to go along with a highly touted freshman in Stovall who could've gone pro and some good portal guys. Even with losing Kopps, there was no way our pitching could be worse than it was last year.

This team absolutely has talent, they've just not played like it this year (as epitomized by Robert Moore).

Battles is a major liability at SS. Dude keeps making errors on easy plays.

Too good still to be considered a liability, but yes, he's been above average as opposed to great in the field lately

DVH burned the pen last night.

Not sure I’d say that, Zack Morris had been really good this year and had a 1.13 ERA coming into tonight. Just picked an awful time to suck. Not sure why when we finally string some hits together the pitching staff decides to lose it.

We are just barely good...

Not great on any metric.

But, DVH deserves our support for what he has accomplished regardless of the outcomes of this season. Fans going off on social media are nutz.

Also, what do we have coming in for next season? I will look up the thread WPS!

RPI down to 32 from 25 after the Alabama loss.

We'll be lucky to host unless we go on a run in Hoover.

Not shot at top 8.

DVH is 100% the guy to lead our program but I have to wonder about the hitting coach. More than half the roster has failed to achieve expectations at the plate and nobody has exceeded them. Do we really have the 13th best hitting talent in the league? Does that $27 million development center have a weight room and batting cage?

One of the most important things in college baseball happened last night with little fanfare. Alabama punched their ticket to hoover, extending their season by a few days. Thankfully the broadcast crew was all over every possible outcome of who would be playing in Hoover and running through it in great detail. Thankfully they shouldn't need to belabor the point during today's game.....

I can't remember the last time I watched a game with the broadcasters less interested in the game at hand

I have no idea what to expect next season. We lose almost every position player but it’s hard to imagine our hitting getting any worse anyway, and we return quite a bit of pitching. Defense probably suffers the most IMO.

We lose Moore even if he's fallen. I've heard there may be a slight chance for Wallace to return. Battles should be gone. I think he has hurt stock even more this year with returning. Ramage is finally graduating as well as Zeb. Noland gone. The rest of the staff should be returning I think. Turner and Lanzilli gone of course. Slavens gone too. I'm looking forward to some new faces after this season.

Hopefully, a new assistant or two as well, but I highly doubt it. DVH is way too loyal. He's almost reminding me of Mike Anderson is regards to his loyalty to upperclassmen and assistants.
